My Contribution

I just want to go on record and say that I think Wikipedia is very, very cool. I like the whole idea very much and I think eventually a great deal of stuff will probably get "sussed out" that might not have, otherwise. That said, I need to confess that I won't be throwing my own efforts into the cause *here* so much, per se.

In the interest of fairness and communication I should state here that my infrequent travels around wikipedia talk pages are probably going to be in the service of my own research and studies. My primary aim here (at the moment) is not to make wikipedia better, although I certainly hope my presence and participation to whatever degree might contribute in that regard.

My own Bible History Website [1] and my personal blog [2] can tell you the rest about what I'm doing.

Besides, it wouldn't be fair to do what I'm doing on wikipedia, as I'm sure true wiki-philes will agree. But perhaps when I'm done doing my thing, and after it's all properly documented, AND after it gets physically published, AND after scholars weigh in on it... maybe THEN somebody else might decide my stuff's worth summarizing and including in a few wikipedia articles.

Until then, I'm not here to push my ideas. I got my own place for that!  ;)

But I am here to learn. And perhaps, sometimes, to contribute.

Just stating my goals here. Many thanks to all who read this, and to all who build wikipedia...Herobill (talk) 04:16, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
