Welcome! edit

Hello, Hercules Anton, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Migrated comment edit

Hello, The article is not about myself, but rather about artist/producer ANTAEUS. I work for a label that has released some of his projects. I am at a loss as what to do next. First, the article was rejected because of no significant coverage from reliable and independent media. At least 10 sources about the article/subject were mentioned in the references, and more in the body. Then, I am told that this is about myself. Please help. Thank you. Hercules Anton (talk) 13:35, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have relocated your comment to the foot of the page. It is a convention. I have not otherwise altered it.
So you are not Antaeus? I retract the suggestion and will remove the autobiography tag.
What to do next is to work on the draft futher. It has not been rejected. It has been pushed back to you for more work. Fiddle Faddle 13:39, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for taking the time. As important as Wikipedia is, it could also be very confusing to new contributors. So, your suggestion is to work on the text itself, as I don't see what else to do about the references? I could search for more references, but one would think that the ones I found would be enough. They are from both print and online sources, some of them from major publications. Thanks again. Hercules Anton (talk) 13:47, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Start by reading Wikipedia:Citing sources. Follow that by reading this essay (the essay is one of many on article creation). It ought to make things clearer. Only then revise your draft. Once your references become citations all will start to fall into place. But choose the references first based on the facts they verify
We try to make Wikipedia less confusing with the system of drafts. A problem we have is that everyone must hit the ground running becaise, once published, an article is published. Before the draft process it was substantially harder. Fiddle Faddle 13:57, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Oh, no worries with more references. Just check what you have. Run them against WP:42 We always want quality, never quantity. Fiddle Faddle 13:59, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
