Hello. I noticed that you seem to think my removal of external links on the Petra (band) page constitutes vandalism. I'm sorry you feel that way. In fact, I am maintaining this policy. If you have any concerns, please bring them up on talk:Petra (band) or on the policy page I referenced. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:20, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please stop referring to my edits as vandalism. Adding the fan sites back in to Wikipedia constitutes a violation of WP:ELNO. Please read it. Thanks. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:30, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Petra (band), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. You are not following WP:ELNO. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:36, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

You are about to break WP:3RR on Petra (band). --Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:38, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Petra (band). Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Please keep your feelings out of the edit comments. I do not hate Petra, I have every English-language original studio and live album that they've ever put out and own several tour shirts. I am following Wikipedia guidelines. I just reviewed WP:EL and see that the official link can be in both locations. WP:ELNO still says fan sites are out. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:45, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Petra (band), you may be blocked from editing. You are once again breaking WP:ELNO and have broken WP:3RR Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:41, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I don't believe that you've read WP:ELNO. If you had you would see that what you're doing is wrong. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:43, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Petra (band), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. I have been an active Wikipedia editor for years. Thanks. You are breaking Wikipedia rules, specifically WP:ELNO Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:59, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} below this message box.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, please see how to appeal a block.
