edit

Hello, I'm Iggy the Swan. Your recent edit to the page Cesc Fàbregas appears to have added incorrect information, so it has been removed for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Not sure about what you did about the edit... Iggy (Swan) 18:53, 6 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Iggy the Swan: She was born in Miziara in Lebanon, read the last part of the Sun's article. HellePh90 (talk) 18:57, 6 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it does appear to be correct. Thanks, Iggy (Swan) 19:37, 6 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Correct is not the issue, relevant is. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:49, 6 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Cesc Fàbregas. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:49, 6 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Walter Görlitz: you have reverted other user's edits, you do not read the same section regarding Ribery, now I am blocked for a month because of your divine ego ! Thanx ! HellePh90 (talk) 19:55, 6 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
You're not blocked as far as I can see, but if you are, it will be for your own actions, not mine. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:02, 6 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
I see, you were blocked and the block was revoked as an error two minutes later. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:03, 6 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Walter Görlitz: I would suggest to bring the edits to the last version before your last revert! All other articles might include nationalities of wags, so why not including it here? HellePh90 (talk) 12:00, 8 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
You're mistaken. Not all other articles (of footballers). All one has to do to disprove absolute statements like this is to show one example where this doesn't hold: Mesut Özil#Personal life, Aaron Ramsey#Personal life, Robin van Persie#Personal life, Jack Wilshere#Personal life, Luis Suárez#Personal life, Eden Hazard#Personal life, Gareth Bale#Personal life, Duško Tošić#Personal life, Manuel Neuer#Personal life, Toni Kroos#Personal life, Mario Gómez#Personal life, Yuri Zhirkov#Personal life and Wayne Rooney#Personal life. The following don't even mention wags: Alexis Sánchez#Personal life, Santi Cazorla#Personal life, and Igor Akinfeev doesn't have a personal life section. Perhaps you can show me the ones you're thinking of an I can correctly apply WP:OVERLINK (which I think you either have not read or have not understood) to them as well. OVERLINK is the reason why it should not be included on the Fàbregas article. Walter Görlitz (talk) 14:13, 8 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Walter Görlitz: The only problem here that you are so stubborn and have massive ego ! Two editors agreed to keep the new edit, but you seem to prefer to start a world war than to accept adding one word ! I mentioned the Ribery's example regarding his wife, but you preferred to bring other justifications such as OVERLINK ! so one word will cause the overlink (and you rudely say that I do not understand !). No one is getting money or fame from writing here and you know that, yet you would rather be an obstructer to others than someone who helps ! I know Germans very well, even though I do not like to generalize, but I would like to say that you would kill people than letting them prove you wrong ! I do not really care if you bring back the "one word edit" or not, I only want to congratulate anyone who can bear dealing with you here or in real life ! HellePh90 (talk) 20:48, 8 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry that you think that following rules is obstructive. If you want to add the word, go ahead. There's no problem. My problem is linking the word. While you're reading the guidelines, you might want to read WP:NPA. Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:10, 8 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
