The paragraph you added to the end of this article wasn't necessarily inappropriate, but it was uncited. All text in a Featured Article has to be cited with in-line citation to a credible reference. Cla68 12:18, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your edit to Final Fantasy VI

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Final Fantasy VI, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Kariteh 17:21, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Final Fantasy VI. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:DDG-182 Mirai damaged in August 1942.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:DDG-182 Mirai damaged in August 1942.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:39, 29 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to mental retardation, you will be blocked from editing. MacAddct  1984 (talk • contribs) 16:04, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Dragon Quest, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. We have some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Japanese characters

edit

Please edit your recent addition to The World Without Us to conform to Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(Japan-related_articles)#Romanization. The inclusion of Japanese characters in the English language Wikipedia is deprecated. Cstaffa (talk) 14:45, 16 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh, never mind. You got reverted and I added it back in Roman characters. Cstaffa (talk) 14:25, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:World Without Us - Covers updated.png

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:World Without Us - Covers updated.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Papa November (talk) 08:45, 30 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppet?

edit

I logged into mty account and tried to edit an article but was told that I had been blocked indefinitely for using sockpuppets. What is this? I'm being accused of sockpuppetery when I've never done so. Besides, I've been contributing to Wikipedia for over a year, and have hundreds of constructive edits in my edit history! There has been a mistake and I hope that someone can unblock me.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Mirai downs three Avengers.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Mirai downs three Avengers.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:59, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
