Speedy deletion declined: Draft:Dr Peter F Fletcher MB,ChB,DPM

edit

Hello Heating172, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Draft:Dr Peter F Fletcher MB,ChB,DPM, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not nonsense: this is clearly an attempt to create a biography about someone named "Peter F Fletcher". No indication of sockpuppetry. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Mz7 (talk) 20:27, 1 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm L235. I wanted to let you know that your signature ("sig") might cause problems for some readers. This is because it includes a link outside your user-space; or no link at all. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines and policy on customising signatures. Thank you. Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 20:40, 1 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

A very easy way of getting around this problem is going to Special:Preferences, scrolling down to "Signature", and un-checking the "Treat the above as wiki markup." box. Thanks, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 20:40, 1 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
I actually think the problem here is that you are not using 4 tildes (~~~~) to add your signature. Instead of writing your username manually, simply end your comments with ~~~~, and the software will automatically convert this into a signature thast has a link to your user page and the timestamp. This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have recently shown interest in Climate change. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Speedy deletion declined

edit

No article has to be submitted at AFC and not being submitted at AFC is not a reason to speedy delete a page. ~ GB fan 15:55, 21 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

There wasn’t a draft, until the user who created it moved it to a draft. H172 Feel free to leave a message! 19:56, 21 August 2018
You are right, but what does that have to do with the reason you said it should be deleted. You said Not submitted at AFC} as your reason. That is not a valid reason to delete an article. Articles do no not need to be submitted to AFC. Please read WP:CSD to see the valid reason for speedy deletion of articles. ~ GB fan 20:20, 21 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Your recent renaming of Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu (TV series)

edit

Hi, @Heating172: and thanks again for editing Wikipedia!

I was just wondering why you seemed to change the title of the article Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu again, without consulting the discussion that had been started in relation the previous change you made?

When I started this discussion, I notice you didn't seem to respond or give any counter-arguments. There was support for titling it "Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu", and hence I reverted your edit and tidied up links etc. on corresponding pages.

A couple of reasons I gave for keeping the word 'Lego' out of the title:

  • it is rare, considering purely the TV show, for the name to contain the word Lego (see the various websites I gave links to)
  • it also helps to eliminate confusion between the seperate but related article about the line of toys, Lego Ninjago

I've done a fair bit of work on this par group of pages, adding hatnotes to help distinguish between these related articles, and would really appreciate it if you'd discuss making an edit like this. It just means that we're all working to the same goal, and not simply undoing work that other people have done!

Cheers,

Hello, I'm Lbtocth. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, The Boss Baby: Back in Business, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Lbtocthtalk 00:51, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
