Avoid reverting during discussion

Hey, I notice that you deleted content from Science that was under discussion at Talk:Science § Vague fringy sentence in lead. I have restored the status quo version. Could you try to follow the BRD cycle and discuss before making changes that have already been contested?      — Freoh 18:13, 4 February 2023 (UTC)

Replied there. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 19:18, 4 February 2023 (UTC)

Boole's Rule

I have explained at Talk:Boole's rule#Ubale source why I believe this source is acceptable under Wikipedia:Reliable sources#Predatory journals. Please explain your opposition there before reverting the article again. Thank you. -- Avi (talk) 16:55, 3 February 2023 (UTC)

I have raised the issue, and mentioned your opposition, at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard#Use of Predatory journals. Please respond there to help generate a consensus instead of potentially edit-warring on the article itself. Thank you. -- Avi (talk) 17:06, 3 February 2023 (UTC)

Help?

Hope all is well with you. I try so hard not to bother you with my technical issues, but I cannot figure this one out. I am positive it is some kind of coding problem with a foreign language, (seems to be triggered by ù) but we all know technology is above my pay grade. I looked at URL encoding, but literally, it just makes my head swim and I cannot comprehend what language it is speaking. o.0 On this article I just started it doesn't like the url. I copied it from the article link and then tried from the wayback link. Neither gets rid of the error code. Can you help? I truly appreciate your expertise. SusunW (talk) 17:04, 8 February 2023 (UTC)

What error are you seeing? I don't see any. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 17:26, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
Seem Jonesey95 got to it first. The issue was that you had |url=status=live instead of |url-status=live Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 17:27, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
I wish it was simpler, but I appreciate you both coming to my rescue. SusunW (talk) 17:34, 8 February 2023 (UTC)

Citing sources

Hey, I notice that you recently added a category to Plum pudding model that had previously been challenged. Don't forget that the verifiability policy applies to categories as well.      — Freoh 02:35, 9 February 2023 (UTC)

I'm struggling real hard to see WP:AGF behaviour here. That the plum pudding model model is obsolete is patently obvious and has been so since Rutherford discovered the nucleus in 1911 or so. (And this is cited before you try to get me on a 'technicality'.) Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 07:00, 9 February 2023 (UTC)

Jupiter Trojan or Jupiter trojan?

Can you please take a look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Jupiter_trojan#Jupiter_Trojan_or_Jupiter_trojan and give your opinion?

Thanks, JS (talk) 02:34, 12 February 2023 (UTC)

Cleaning up english in ADA article . . .

With your permission, I would like to take the rough edges off the English in your article on ADA. For credibility, I worked at the Aladdin ring in Madison Wi USA for several years, and visited Frascati once and looked at the operating ADONE through the thick lead-glass windows. I won't change the substance of the article. Dr.gregory.retzlaff (talk) 05:37, 12 February 2023 (UTC)

@Dr.gregory.retzlaff: You don't need my permission to do that, that's why we have WP:BOLD. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 06:43, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
Thanks, I'm relatively new here and did not want to step on anyone's toes or get a bad reputation. I'll get to it tomorrow, will be nothing major and take a lot of time. Dr.gregory.retzlaff (talk) 07:01, 12 February 2023 (UTC)

Failure to "get the point"

Hey, I notice that you are continuing to describe Peter Carruthers, Marlize Lombard, Michael Shermer, and Sven Ove Hansson as amateurs, even after I've explained repeatedly at the noticeboard discussion that they are reputable experts, and other editors there agreed that this peer-reviewed academic source is reliable. I find it disruptive that you are still acting like you didn't hear that and that you are continuing to edit war on the Science article.      — Freoh 00:11, 24 February 2023 (UTC)

No one agreed with you that your source was reliable. And if you've got nothing productive to say, go away. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 00:30, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
XOR'easter said that this source could support an attributed opinion claim. According to Wikipedia's reliable source policy, we publish only the analysis, views, and opinions of reliable authors, so I interpreted their comment as affirming the reliability of this article.      — Freoh 11:22, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
The full quote would be At most, this kind of writing could support an attributed opinion claim. It's not enough to justify our saying, in Wiki-voice, that those practices are the "roots of science" and that they do in fact have the pedigree suggested. That is not "affirming the reliability of the article." Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 11:35, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
Headbomb is right. XOR'easter (talk) 12:46, 24 February 2023 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for removing that predatory journal, when I was first adding it it did seem rather suspicious that barely any other articles on Wikipedia used it, but now I know X750. Spin a yarn? Articles I've screwed over? 04:14, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
