Hello, I'm Amaury. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Sadda Haq (TV series)— because it didn’t appear constructive to me. Hi! Sorry for my late reply. Thanks. Hcns (talk) 06:30, 8 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hi! On which movie-article, you saw "promotional song" written, seperately with OST of same name? It is not stated as "different" if the song / soundtrack is same. And the video link is given on that talk page, in which cast member Alia Bhatt says it as "TITLE TRACK of the movie", so it is neither OST, nor what you say. The music video is released to promote either song or movie, or might be both.
The time durations "02:43" or "03:51" should not be mentioned until the "official soundtrack album" for the movie is released. OR, what will you do after album's release? Will you write the name of the song "Love You Zindagi" third time as "title track", might be with new time duration?
In last, the link of "Gaana.com" you provided not seems to be official. Hope you understand, Thanks! M.Billoo2000 (talk) 10:56, 8 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hi! Please state your problems, if not through steps please. Thanks. Hcns (talk) 11:51, 8 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
I don't have any problem, but I think you have problems, you are going out of the official-video-reference I have provided and changing the title of it! Also you are providing un-official reference of "Gaana.com", which requires download / sign-up (see WP:EL). Your same mistakes might be "Vandalism". M.Billoo2000 (talk) 14:21, 8 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
When people doesn't remain Civil, calm and polite then I shouldn't be, I forgot to mention it here. Hcns (talk) 15:25, 8 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
You are going out of topic! Reply to the point, and accept your mistake. Don't talk "out of source" or "poorly sourced". This is wikipedia, which is being viewed in many areas throughout the world, and it is the responsibility of wiki-editors to provide solid information, and if it that is not avalaible, then should wait for solid reference. The editors should not provide wrong or poor info. Your last reply seems that you haven't checked WP:EL. In last, I mention here that no one has blocked me, as you said here. M.Billoo2000 (talk) 17:51, 9 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
I have had given solid proof/s. Please, let the senior editors and wikipedia administrators to decide them. None deleted them till your wrong-way interception. The mature editors know which is a promotional video song (or promotional song) and which is not. Thanks. Hcns (talk) 09:59, 10 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dear Zindagi poster

edit

Hi Hcns! I've watched the film recently and came across the poster Wikipedia is using. For sure, the film is about a young DOP Kaira (played by Alia Bhatt). But, after watching the film, i do believe that a theatrical poster featuring both SRK and Alia should be used. Reasons are quite simple. One, SRK's Jehangir "Jug" Khan is the deus ex machina of the film and Kaira's life. Second, surely the film's reach and BO performance has been impacted largely by SRK and the reviews too give equal focus on him despite being an extended cameo appearance. If you have anything to say, please do so. If you agree with me but do not wish to say, here are some theatrical posters with clear images: 1, 2 Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:58, 29 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Pavanjandhyala! Ok. I like the new poster : 1 but "IN CINEMAS NOW" is not suitable. I think 2nd poster is being used everywhere so it's better not to use that one. The current poster not only depicts the main character, but also the background, mainly the Sun (like rising or setting or both (day to day basis)) and the sea waves ("Kabbadi" track and the deep meaning within), and also where she is standing, on the muddy Grassland up along the Goa sea shore, but want to fly high (20 something age character's thinking and their execution), and now if we think about the whole poster or picture we get the idea or thoughts of the film, but that doesn't mean I deny your views, I respect it, except the BO part which is incoherent, actually you want Shah Rukh Khan in the poster :). Letting Kaira and everyone of her age who went through or going through same conditions live life peacefully is my opinion if you ask, rest lies on you or rather what you want. I will not interfere. Thanks. Hcns (talk) 07:56, 30 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
I don't want SRK to be a part of the poster because of his stardom. I actually felt that despite being an extended cameo, the length the role had (nearly 50 minutes i guess) and the impact the character has on Kaira and the film as well, makes it important one if not as much as Kaira. I liked your explanation about the current poster and felt that it was proper. What made me suggest the first one (In cinemas now) because, apart from the explanation about Jug's importance, it shows the growth of Kaira. The room is filled with sunshine, making no actual place for darkness in the room (and her life as well) until Jug is present. The books are constructed like a wall of cards (we do it with playing cards generally) denote the increase/building up of strength and knowledge (which books are supposed to denote). We also can see a sense of peace and freedom in Kaira's body language (not sitting on the couch but instead showing something on the phone to her therapist). But, i too am preferring the current one only. BTW, unless the letter "I" begins the sentence, i usually use the lower case letter while referring to myself. It is intentional and hence, please do not tweak it. :) Regards, Pavanjandhyala (talk) 06:16, 1 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yours too nice explanation. Thanks. Hcns (talk) 07:51, 1 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Budget

edit

Hi Hcns, with regard to this good-faith edit, the |budget= that we're typically interested in in film articles is the actual production cost, not other costs like print/media/advertising. Per the infobox instructions:

"Insert the approximate production budget of the film. This is the cost of the actual filming, and does not include marketing/promotional costs (e.g. advertisements, commercials, posters)."

When major sources like BoxOfficeMojo.com reports budget, they're only considering the straight production costs. By including things like marketing and promotion, we're creating an inconsistent picture of performance across the project--an apples-to-oranges comparison as they say. Similarly, |gross= and even the Box office section should focus on gross box office receipts, not tangential revenue streams like music rights, satellite rights, merchandising, etc. It's to clunky to get into every rupee a film has spent or made. Thanks and regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:20, 30 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Cyphoidbomb. After a long time interacting with You. Yes, correct decision about the revert. Absolutely, these marketing and promotion, and then calculating budget, box office gross collection creates inconsistency. Financial vandalism created by many, and then very nice decision for semi-protecting the article / page. Nice comparison though :) Thanks. Hcns (talk) 19:52, 30 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Raees (the film)

edit

Hello! I recently came to see the page for Raees the film. In the first line it says that the movie is based on Abdul Latif's life. That is speculation, not fact. Because of this it should not be in the first line about the release date. Can you help to explain why my edits keep getting reversed? :( — Preceding unsigned comment added by Musicwithoutlyrics (talkcontribs) 02:05, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Musicwithoutlyrics. Please provide reliable sources in the article or page that it's not "a fact" or not "based on", and that's it. I saw and read from many reliable sources, and not from any promotional videos which proves the opposite. Don't delete anything from the article which contains reliable sources. Each line of an article in Wikipedia only depends on references or reliable sources. Thanks. Hcns (talk) 05:20, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Copryight violation

edit

Hi again, sad to say but this is unsuitable for inclusion because you've copied prose verbatim from the source. You can't do that. Even the tone of the content you submitted should have been a tip-off that it was inappropriate for inclusion, since you're presenting opinions and claims made by the son as though they are incontrovertible fact. "The film is clearly based on his father’s life" says who? Part of the problem is that the article is very poorly written, since they don't use quotations or properly attribute the paraphrasing to Latif's son, but circumspection is necessary when writing about stuff like this, and copying verbatim, or even closely paraphrasing is never acceptable at Wikipedia. This is a basic academic rule that must not ever be broken. The content has been reverted. Thank you, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 00:56, 24 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi, No problem. The source is actually poor. Each source with the same topic from different newspapers or e-papers. Thanks. Hcns (talk) 06:02, 24 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
The more important issue is plagiarism/copyright violations. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:34, 24 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
For Controversy section I used quotations earlier, and was reverted, but actually for such section I can't brief it with my own words. Very much controversial fim This is which can hurt sentiments of different countries, different cultures, etc... Now also different controversial sources are on the way but I have stopped typing under Controversy section. I think maybe it's enough. Phrases from Sources would be the unbiased way to jot down, and sorry but "copying", plagiarism terms were used in a different manner, because at last it's the Source/s which helps us to go ahead with any article. Thanks. Hcns (talk) 18:09, 24 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Raees Plot

edit

Hi, can you please explain why have you removed the plot summery of Raees. Also if you find any spelling mistakes or improvement in the plot, then one should edit it not remove it completely. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Imbunty (talkcontribs) 15:26, 30 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Imbunty. First of all, I didn't remove it from the page or article, it's there, so, it's not "completely". Correct spelling of "summery" is "summary" and in the article I found many, like this (See the word of yours in my page). This is just a user page, so I am showing it and that is an article out of many for which we all "Wikipedians" are here to contribute. You have contributed, Thanks a lot Wikipedian. I will help You, but it's a Plot, you will know better as you have written it. Character names, one I can show you - "Majumdar", should be "Majmudar". Now, coming to writing, it's a Plot or Summary only, so it should be an outline sketch of the storyline of the film. For more information See WP:FILMPLOT, if You have already read the section then You shouldn't have done the mistakes, but, You can always correct it. Always sign your comments in talk pages using four tildes. Thanks. Hcns (talk) 16:45, 30 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please stop suppressing the film plot from displaying.[1] This is not constructive. If you have a problem with the length or with the level of detail, feel free to fix it, but suppressing it entirely is unhelpful. Oh, and in case you are concerned about spoilers or other such trivial matters, please see WP:SPOILER. A film's plot summary should contain an overall summary of the entirety of the film, and that would include the ending. I don't know if that's your concern, since you haven't properly explained why you were suppressing the plot, but if it is, we do not censor such content. We can omit minor details that don't impact our comprehension of the story, but readers should absolutely expect to understand the beginning, middle and end of this film. Thank you.
