editHi! I have some notes on your draft:
- The Housing Programs and Services may need to be summarized more, maybe into a paragraph or two of content?
- With the Awards and Acknowledgements section, this should not mention coverage that they have received as an organization. This is seen to be fairly routine, so it's not something that would be mentioned in the article unless the coverage itself was something that people have written about in depth. For example, if the radio interview was covered over a long period of time in newspapers and academic sources saying that this was an important interview, then it could potentially be added to the article. It's just rare that this happens. The section should only be about awards and honors that the organization has received themselves. As far as the awards that they hand out goes, I'd say that this could be its own section or be mentioned in the history section, since this is part of their history. The revenue content could be moved there, although to be honest revenue isn't typically mentioned in an article like this unless there's a lot of coverage to justify its mention. Since the only source for this is Charity Navigator, I'd leave it out.
- Parts of this feel a little choppy, so it needs to be edited for flow.
- I'm concerned about the sourcing. A lot of this is primary, meaning that it was put out by Deborah's Place or people or organizations affiliated with them. Some of them are database listings, which are seen as routine at best, especially as many of them rely on information supplied directly by the organization itself. I'm also not really sure if sources like Together or Area Chicago would be seen as reliable sources on Wikipedia since it's hard to verify how independent they are of the organization itself and what type of editorial oversight they use. They're not really the strongest possible sources since we can't verify a lot of things, like who wrote the pieces, conflict of interest, editorial or verification status, and so on, so you'd need to be able to show where they're routinely cited as a reliable source by other reliable sources, especially academic or scholarly sources. The Housing First source looks to be unusable since it looks to be an ongoing study or a classroom project and also looks like they may be working with the homeless organizations in the area, which would most likely include Deborah's Place. As such, this needs more independent sourcing to help show where it's notable.
- This book looks like it mentions Deborah's Place, but you'd have to see if you could find a copy to verify it, though. It looks like it's mentioned here in this biography of Patty Crowley and here. Definitely stop in with your school's library and see if the staff can help mine the databases for material as well.
