Welcome! edit

Hello, Hbgolightly, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

Hi Shalor! This is totally confusing, and I know html and feel like I'm a fairly intelligent person.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

If I practice editing source on this, will it publish and make me look like a dummy?

Response edit

Hi! I wanted to post my response on your talk page as well as my page, just in case this is easier for you to see here. I think that your evaluation is a good start, but it could use a little more detail. These are some additional questions to consider:

  1. Is everything in the article relevant to the article topic? Is there anything that distracted you?
  2. Is the article neutral? Are there any claims that appear heavily biased toward a particular position?
  3. Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented?
You have a good overview, so maybe just a sentence or two more?

On a side note, are you interested in expanding and improving this article? There are definitely areas for improvement, one of which is the perceptions section. It's made up entirely of quotes and it's kind of hard to get what the purpose of the section is. It's something that would be better to merge into the main synopsis section and work into a better summary of the film and the main points it tries to get across, as well as a general synopsis of the main points of what is said by the people they interview. Creepy treehouse edit

Hi! I think that you're on the right track with your article. This could use more sourcing and expansion (maybe look into the history of the term, who coined it?) but I definitely think that you're doing well here. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 13:20, 24 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Shalor! I appreciate the feedback and I really appreciate the validation that I'm on the right track. Hbgolightly (talk) 00:33, 27 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Shalor (Wiki Ed): There is an existing article Creepy treehouse which Hbgolightly is aware of. See the talk page. It will be a good idea if you can help with the merge process with Hbgolightly and checking whether is there any existing article before creating a new one. Thanks. --Xaiver0510 (talk) 02:04, 11 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Thanks Xaiver0510! If no one objects, I can merge the two page histories together using my main account. Hbgolightly, another option would be for you to copy the material yourself to the existing page at creepy treehouse. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:42, 11 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Shalor (Wiki Ed): You are welcome. Noted that Hbgolightly created the article for wiki edu so thought will be a learning experience. I leave it to you best handle it. --Xaiver0510 (talk) 01:25, 12 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Xaiver0510 If you want to merge everything, go ahead and do so. I think this is a tremendous example of collaboration! Best, Holly Hbgolightly (talk) 04:58, 12 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hbgolightly and Shalor (Wiki Ed) : I done the merge since we are in very different time zones. GMT+8 for me in Singapore. Hbgolightly, hope you have a good time in Wikipedia! --Xaiver0510 (talk) 07:02, 12 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks everyone! Have a great weekend. Hbgolightly (talk) 15:07, 12 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
