Your website edit

Thanks for your note. The reason I deleted your link to your website is that it does not comply with the policy at Wikipedia:EL#Links_normally_to_be_avoided. Predominantly it contributes nothing to the article and is there only to promote your website. The first article on the website is employee recruitment, so it is obviously commercial in nature.

Also since you admit that this is your website you need to read WP:COI since you are in a Conflict of Interest by linking to your own website. As that policy requires, the proper procedure for you to include a link to your website when you are in a COI is to open an item on the page's talk page identifying that you have a COI and asking the editors working on that page whether they think it is appropriate to include a link to your website. If the consensus of editors working on that page is that the website link adds to the article then they will agree to post it in the article for you. As the policy says you should not be posting external links to your own website. - Ahunt (talk) 14:33, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your note. The fact that it is your website means that putting it on the article external links list is a Conflict of Interest for you. As the policy says: propose it on the talk page and see if anyone agrees that it contributes to the article.
As far as the other links already there go, there is a principle that just because there is something wrong in an article doesn't mean that more can be added (It is usually stated as "just because other crap exists, doesn't mean that more crap is justified", but that is a bit rude). Let me check those other existing links and I will delete any that shouldn't be there. - Ahunt (talk) 23:01, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
