Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Soldier of Fortune (magazine), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. If there is material in the article that you disagree with, please raise the issue at Talk:Soldier of Fortune (magazine). But please stop removing properly sourced material. The material is not "undocumented"; it is cited to properly published books and articles. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 18:02, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello,
The information that was deleted is speculative and not documented. I am writing you on behalf of Susan Keating, owner and publisher of Soldier of Fortune Magazine. Please allow us to make the changes and to lock this page from others who have made negative inputs. We are a reputable business and trying to continue honest news reporting.

Please stop. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Soldier of Fortune (magazine), you may be blocked from editing. I will also warn you that you have violated WP:3RR and are now guilty of edit warring. If you revert this edit again, this action will be reported to administrators' attention. WikiDan61,
The information about Soldier of Fortune has been generated due to published articles that are speculative and not fact. What do we at Soldier of Fortune Magazine need to do to correct this information? We would also like to lock the corrected information so that individuals have a positive look at our news reporting. What is the process and how do we go about the proper corrections?

I will say again, this user talk page is not the place for the discussion. You must address your concerns at Talk:Soldier of Fortune (magazine). WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 19:22, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Soldier of Fortune Magazine edit

Hello,

Much of the information under this topic is speculative and not documented. I represent SOF in trying to continue clearing this page. Someone continues to edit under the name David O. Johnson. I would like to know if there is a way to lock this information? I am writing you on behalf of the current owner and publisher of Soldier of Fortune Magazine.

V/r Hawktuner1 (talk) 18:03, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

The discussion needs to happen at Talk:Soldier of Fortune (magazine), not here on your user talk page. And, because you "represent" Soldier of Fortune, you have a conflict of interest and should not continue to edit the article under any circumstances. WikiDan61,
This replay makes no sense, and I will make the comment on the page that you mentioned.
"And, because you "represent" Soldier of Fortune, you have a conflict of interest and should not continue to edit the article under any circumstances." Hawktuner1 (talk) 19:21, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
My reply was in response to your statement I represent SOF in trying to continue clearing this page. Wikipedia's goal is to present a neutral point of view; users who represent the subject of the article have a conflict of interest because their goal to "clear the page" (your words) do not align with Wikipedia's goal to neutrally report what is presented in reliable sources. Per Wikipedia guidelines, users with a conflict of interest (COI) are discouraged from editing the article where the COI exists, but to instead enter into discussion and request specific edits at the article's talk page. I hope that clarifies my response. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 19:52, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Does the fact that he won a Grammy Award help?
https://www.grammy.com/artists/tommy-beavers/11577 Hawktuner1 (talk) 22:31, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Per WP:MUSICBIO about the Grammy: Note that this requires the person or band to have been the direct recipient of a nomination in their own name. The Grammy for "Blues for Dixie" was awarded to Asleep at the Wheel. This argues that Beavers is solely notable for his participation in that band, so Wikipedia's guidelines for people notable solely for one thing would guide us to just create a redirect page to the Asleep at the Wheel page. The Grammy Award was directly given to Tommy Beavers as the website states. I also have a picture of the Grammy with hid name and drum set up currently on display at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. 2603:9005:700:1B09:BD18:7F5C:8C50:88D2 (talk) 12:06, 8 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
