Hello @Haveitall07:, this will be the page were you can ask me questions and I will try to answer them. I've posted some initial info below, but feel free to leave any question you may have on this page.

Communication edit

  • As I've said earlier, it's best to sign all of your contributions on talk pages by making four ~ symbols. This is so that other users can quickly see that it was you who added a comment.
  • The other important thing in communicating with other editors is "pinging". You can ping other editors by typing {{ping|}} and their name. This is the same as {{Reply to|}} function. Both will give the editor in question a notification. In general, you may ping people if you want to talk to them or their answer is urgent.
  • One place were you don't need to ping is on people's talk pages. They will automatically be notified when you post there.

Your userpage edit

  • One thing I recommend is starting a userpage. I and most editors have one, here's mine if you haven't had a look yet. They are the place where you can tell the rest of Wikipedia about yourself. You do not have to reveal anything about you, though. It's mostly there to display the stuff you do on Wikipedia, like your articles or your editing interest.
  • Userboxes are small icons people like to put on their pages as a concise way to display information. Have a look at my userpage and Wikipedia:Userboxes this page if you want to see some examples. They are by no means necessary.
  • I suggest you start your userpage by copying the following box to your empty userpage. It's recommended by the adoption program and will let others know that we're linked up. I'll put a similar box on mine later.

Sounds good, just started a user page with some basic info and the card you linked. Thanks again! Haveitall07 (talk) 22:20, 7 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Keeping track of your things edit

  • @Haveitall07: It's good to see you found your way to this page. I wanted to draw your attention to two things I think you'll find useful:
  1. sandbox: perhaps you've already found it, but there's a link saying saying "sandbox" on the top of your browser window. When you click on it, you'll be guided to a page in your personal user space on which you can try out editing without having to start a draft or a new article. I also use mine to make notes to myself or to store helpful links. Anyway, it's a useful space no matter how you use it.
  2. watchlist: another link on top of your browser window will say "watchlist". This page gives you live updates on pages you have bookmarked by clicking on the little star icon in the top right corner (it'll turn blue once you do that). Most editors keep track of pages they care about via their watchlist. I recommend you add this page as well as Shilpa Ananth to yours. When you've added this page to the list, I won't have to ping you anymore because you'll then see the changes on there. Modussiccandi (talk) 22:44, 7 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Tali Rubinstein feedback edit

Thanks for writing to me so quickly about the feedback! I was a little confused with the message because I thought this article was a bit farther along than the Shilpa one, but I'll work on getting more secondary sources. Do you think just finding better sources is sufficient for resubmitting the article? Haveitall07 (talk) 03:30, 26 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

You are right to say that the draft was more developed than your previous one. The reviewer's problem is indeed all about the sources: they said too many of them were primary. What they mean by that is that you should try and avoid using track listings, interviews and anything where the subject has a stake in what is written. They encouraged you to look for secondary sources: news articles written without involvement of the subject, for example. If you're not sure whether a particular source would be good to use, don't hesitate to ask me. Best, Modussiccandi (talk) 10:04, 26 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
