Thank you! My biggest concern was notability so I'm not exactly surprised it got flagged. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. HassanCommunications (talk) 16:05, 7 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Orange Mike | Talk 01:09, 8 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Requested username:

Request reason:

I've noted on my profile that I am being compensated by an NGO and am trying to create a wikipedia page for the NGO, ACTION, and their director, Vineeta Gupta. It seems that I might not be able to make a page for their director but would still like to try and make a page for the NGO itself. I've sent in a request to change my username to just my name. Normally I update pages for clients like FilmAid and Internews by logging in with their credentials to make minor changes but this client doesn't have or want their own account.

Decline reason:

If you can't just say "no", well, then, the block makes it easy for you. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:34, 8 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

So by your own admission you've been violating our Terms and Conditions by abusing accounts of your clients (accounts which they should not have in the first place). --Orange Mike | Talk 01:53, 8 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
I am their Director of Communications. I can't just say 'no' when they tell me to update content on this site. Whomever created the accounts was long before my time and they're long gone by now. I'm trying to do this the right way but the tone here is really making it seem like an attack instead of guiding me. HassanCommunications (talk) 02:13, 8 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Would you care to tell us what other accounts you use? Given what you have said, I can safely assume that Basemcreative is one of them. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 15:02, 8 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Please also review Wikipedia's policy on the use of multiple accounts. The general rule is one person, one account. If you are editing articles of multiple clients, then you should only be using a single account and disclosing all conflict of interest/paid editing through it. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:33, 9 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
