I understand that you knew this person and I'm sure that you're upset about the event, but Wikipedia is about contributing content in a completely neutral point of view, which also includes who should and should not contribute to the article subject itself. Since you have an obvious conflict of interest with the article subject, you should not be editing its content. This is because, given your relationship, your edits haven't been (and will continue to be unable to) reflect neutrality. The article itself is also focused on the event of her death, which is the event that is notable and hence has its own article.
