edit

Hello, I'm Serols. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Carol Es—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Serols (talk) 16:46, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi Serols. Perhaps you would be kind enough to explain how changing a person's name on Wikipedia is not constructive when that person has, in fact, changed their name (as linked in my edit comment). HannahInJT (talk) 17:11, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, her name is Carol, whether she likes it or not is not relevant. Regards --Serols (talk) 17:34, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

I see. Perhaps you didn't have the opportunity to read the entire linked post or look at their website, but they have changed their name. Intentionally misgendering them in your comment here is hostile. Your personal prejudices and biases shouldn't enter into the issue. The fact that we're having this conversation is disturbing and disappointing. HannahInJT (talk) 18:34, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

I feel as if my updates were reverted due to an editor's personal biases against people who don't conform to their worldview.

This does not specifically require an administrator, but your edit was reverted because it was unsourced. If you have a source, please offer it on the article talk page. 331dot (talk) 21:01, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Okay. The user who reverted didn't say anything about the changes being unsourced, they said the changes "did not appear constructive." In any event, thank you. I'll add another link to the talk page of the article. HannahInJT (talk) 21:31, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
