Kamran Jawaid

edit

Hello

the reason that Kamran Jawaid was deleted is found in the debate and decision found at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kamran Jawaid. No one at all supported keeping the article. To convince the people who voted delete you need to improve the references and slaims of notability. The original article had 5 links to blogs as references and a whole pile of links to his work at dawn.com. The newer version of the article had less references and was written differently. If you wish I can put copies in your userspace so that you can work on finding the reliable independent references, where others have talked about him. (possible working space for you at: User:Hamzarauf/Kamran Jawaid User:Hamzarauf/Kamran Jawaid 2). Post me a message if you would like this. Currently you cannot recreate the article due to WP:SALT. Another possible way is to use WP:DRV to get a deletion review, but I don't recommend that to you. User:R craycroft may be interested in this topic too. I see you already received a helpful explanation from Graeme Bartlett (talk · contribs). Cirt (talk) 03:47, 17 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome back, I have taken a look at User:Hamzarauf/Kamran Jawaid 2. The references are not what you would call reliable, blogs, youtube, and freebase can be updated by anyone, so there is little trust in their content. Can you find a newspaper or paper magazine article? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 07:20, 1 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

The info is taken from Kamran Jawaid's official blog and Youtube and all the articles there link to Dawn newspaper. Online, if I search Kamran Jawaid and Animadversion I get a stack of reviews written by him. One quick question - if I reply here on my page does it show up on your page? Hamzarauf (talk) 16:24, 1 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

No it doesn't. You have to add a colon each time you respond for it to be visible. I am familiar with Kamran Jawaid mainly cause he was a juror for COSFF. Let me know if you are still interested in working on Kamran Jawaid's wikipedia page, I can collaborate with you on making the page get past Wikipedia's terms and conditions.
