Regarding the following question: I've just created an article on an Australian politician who apparently was made an officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in the 1960s. Yes, you can check people that received the Order of Merit or any other order of the Italian Republic, the database has over 270,000 names. The list is constantly updated, not all receivers are in the list, only high ranking receivers before 1991. - Yes, WP has so many rules it must be daunting for the visitors. About linking "Australian" ... and "American" and "British" etc, which used to grace the start of just about every BLP article. It's in WP:OVERLINK, and here, because it looks like becoming a well-read article from tomorrow onwards, I don't want to encourage editors! There's "Australian Labor Party" linked close by. And I like to think that just about every English-speaker in the world has heard of Australia.
- Probably more important is getting that article on Gillard up to scratch in a short time. I hope editors will gather around it soon. Cheers. Tony (talk) 14:15, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
