RE: ownership of information

If you are indeed the owner of the information on the military baseball articles, you will need to prove that in a more substantial way than merely asserting it. If you are the owner of the page copied, you appear to be seeking free advertising and support; this is not allowed. Your case would be helped if: you didn't create multiple copies of the same article under different names after being clearly told it was a copy violation; you rewrote the content such that it is in the third person as an encyclopedia entry should be. If you want all of those articles to have the same content, create one article with content and then redirect to it from the other articles by typing #REDIRECT [[article to be redirected to]] on the page you want to redirect from. --WAvegetarian 00:50, 18 November 2005 (UTC)

• I can understand your wanting to use Wikipedia as another means of helping people find your site, but Wikipedia is not an advertising venue. If you want to write an article referencing yourself or something you have a strong vested interest in, i.e. being the general manager of an organization, you will have to be very careful to make it objective and unbiased. Writing in the third person is a necessity. Keep in mind that the article should focus on the organization and a description of what it does and a bit of history. Recounting the scores of specific games is IMHO overdoing it unless the score is some specific historical import more than just who won or lost the game. If you simply rewrite the article as you would expect an Encarta or Encyclopedia Britannica entry to look like, you should be fine. You can include links to you pages by typing ==External links== on a separate line and then putting the links on separate lines below it in the format [http://URL name of webpage]. Please feel free to follow one of the prominent "temporary subpage" links on one of the articles tagged as copyvios. You can rewrite at that page. Let me know when and where you have rewritten it.
