Your challenge to speedy deletion of BLACK BELT WATCH

Hi Gwladys57, unfortunately, I have had to delete your challenge BLACK BELT WATCH. You cannot make a challenge on a page that has already been deleted. The proper place to go to appeal a deletion is Wikipedia:Deletion review. For reference, I have copied your post here.

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... they are some facts :

-a lot af journalists in watchmaking industry made some articles about the fact that Black Belt Watch is the only brand to propose a watch for which only money is not enough to buy the watch : it is a fact that people should show a certificate to proove they detends a black belt in martial arts.

-it is a fact that BlackbeltWatch reflects and honors the seven virtues, the samurai code of conduct. it is its history, the inspiration of its design.

So I do not understand which part can't be approved.

Nobody has disputed the truthfullness of the article. The issue is the promotional language used. "BlackbeltWatch reflects and honors the seven virtues, the samurai code of conduct..." is not a "fact", it is an opinion. It reads exactly like advertising copy designed to promote the watch. Wikipedia must not express opinions in its own voice. At most, we could quote someone else saying that, but in my opinion that would still amount to an attempt to promote the product. Also promotional is "the only luxury watch that money alone can not buy". That might be factual (although no inline citation is provided to back it up) but the whole structure of the sentence is designed to promote rather than inform. I read it as a manufacturer's claim rather than a fact, I am sure that there are many luxury watches in peoples' collections that are not for sale. In short, even if this is an acceptable subject for Wikipedia, the article that has been offered is promotional in structure and would need entirely rewriting from scratch in any case.
