Request reason:

This is my first and only Wikipedia account, I am absolutely not a sock puppet. I just read through the “signs of sock puppetry” essay to try and get a better idea of why someone would assume that, and the only points that stood out were, maybe it is considered somewhat ‘advanced editing’ (For a new account) to be adding categories to articles. I may be new to Wikipedia editing but I am not new to Wikipedia and ritually binge articles. My preferred way to waste time on wiki is to trawl through categories, so the concept of categories is something I’m potentially more comfortable with than is expected of new editors. Or it could be because I have made edits to relatively niche articles too: but once again I often find myself in some pretty niche parts of wiki due to my browsing habits- Being that I go on tangents Of Reading the categories pages of whatever topic Has piqued my interest. They’re the only things that stood out, given that the admin provided no reason for how they reached the conclusion That I’m a sock puppet, just that I “clearly ”am one

Accept reason:

Yeah, I probably jumped the gun here. I didn't have a particular master in mind, but your editing seemed rather too ... precocious. I've unblocked you, assuming good faith. Graham87 05:39, 11 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
