Science reference desk
editIn case you've not visited it yet and it could be useful, Wikipedia also has a Science Reference Desk, WP:RD/S (and it also has searchable archives). —PaleoNeonate – 00:17, 1 September 2020 (UTC)

?
editHello--can you please explain this edit? Thank you. Drmies (talk) 17:58, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hello! I was under the impression that user Pirategads was hired by Behringer to edit articles on audio and audio gear, but I might have been wrong. Gutten på Hemsen (talk) 19:52, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
- No, you may well have been right--but I don't rightly understand the edit summary (which doesn't match the edit) and the actual text. You can't speak for a person, and you can't invent what they might say; it misled me too, when I saw it, thinking that the user had declared their COI. What you could have done was warn the editor, or place a note on the talk page, or post at WP:COIN, so please don't do that again. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 00:57, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
- You’re right. It was wrong for me to do this. It won’t happen again. Gutten på Hemsen (talk) 01:22, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

Recording transport
editYou are correct about lack of analog transports. Find some references and add some new sections. Analog transports include: reel-to-reel, compact cassette, 8-track, radio station tape carts (name?).
References can be as simple as <ref>http://URL Displayed text </ref>
Do a bit web surfing for references and contribute to Wikipedia!

Thank you! I’ll have a look around for good references :-) Gutten på Hemsen (talk) 15:59, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
September 2021
editHello. In a recent edit to the page Unbalanced circuit, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. The edit in question is this. SpinningSpark 13:49, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
- @SpinningSpark: Thanks for the heads up! I had noticed that many related articles were inconsistent with their uses of signaling vs. signalling, but I had not considered that harmonizing the language across articles would be a bad idea, so I’m sorry about that! When I notice different spellings within a single article, should they be left as is or harmonized? While editing Differential signaling, I found that both spellings were used within the article. Thanks! Gutten på Hemsen (talk) 13:55, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
