Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We as a community are glad to have you and thank you for creating a user account! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.

Remember to place any articles you create into a category so we don't get orphans.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome.

Hello, Gunnernet! I hope you are finding editing Wikipedia enjoyable. I think you may be mistaken about the copyright status of "The Scream", which I believe to be in the public domain: please see the flow chart at [1], from the website of U.S IP lawyers Bromberg & Sunstein LLP. -- Karada 16:36, 1 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Bouri platforms - Libya - graphic

edit

Sorry, i've never done this but i would like to use this graphic in a newsletter that will be circulating in Libya. 400-500 hard copies.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:FPSO_diagram.PNG

I don't understand the license details completely and also not what i would have to quote below the graphic when printed. there are too many licenses referenced and i'm getting confused. is it free or not?

Would you please give me more information and let me know what i would have to put below the graphic when having it printed in a newsletter?

thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.149.139.89 (talk) 12:03, 9 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
