The article Darragh Park has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 13:52, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Darragh Park

edit

A tag has been placed on Darragh Park, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. ARendedWinter 14:30, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Re Darragh Park -- the article was one sentence long, and just said "he's an artist". The sources you gave show only that he had a couple of exhibitions. You should wait to post the article until you can find some reliable independent sources that tell us something about this artist, including why he should be considered notable per WP:BIO. Thanks, NawlinWiki 14:47, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • Per the above. Please see WP:YFA for lots of help on getting an article to scratch. You could create it in your user space first, and then move it to the mainspace when it's ready. Please feel free to ask for help. Pedro :  Chat  15:17, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
