Ambrose Park, New South Wales and ACT Hybrid Vehicle Authority

edit

Congratulations on spotting these hoaxes. I looked at Ambrose Park after you tagged it, but when you tagged the ACT Hybrid Vehicle Authority as well, from the same author who edited only on a single day (a characteristic of hoaxers, who use throwaway accounts in case they are detected) that made it seem certain. All the same, I have taken them to AfD (1, 2), just in case, rather than PROD, to get more some Australian eyes on them; some surprisingly hoaxy things turn out to be true. OK, thanks for that. I came across Ambrose Park because it needed geographic coordinates. Then thought to look for other edits by the same user and sure enough found ACT Hybrid Vehicle Authority. Cheers, Grogan deYobbo (talk) 02:54, 29 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Cringila School: Grandparents Day

edit

Hello I was on staff at Cringila School in 1980 and would love to see an entry on Grandparents Day as this was the first-ever Grandparents Day held in Australia and it grew out of Cringila Public School. Do you have any references that would aid this happening? I have some photos of the day.
