  Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, from its old location at User:GreyFoxBluegrass/sandbox/Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival. This is because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. /wiae /tlk 15:40, 27 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of Interest and Username policies

edit

  Hello, GreyFoxBluegrass. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you.

  • Also note that Wikipedia does not allow the use of usernames " that unambiguously represent the name of a company, group, institution or product" wp:Username policy. You cannot continue to edit WP using that username. You need to create a username for yourself that represents you as a private person. To see how to change your username, you should see Wikipedia:Changing_username. As you have just started, you may be able to make use of the option at bullet 4 under "Options." Equally important, though, is that you declare any conflict of interest in your editing. Also note that if you do have a conflict of interest you can continue editing the draft article, but articles in "main space" may not be edited by a person with a COI. Your username

edit

  Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Draft:Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, and I noticed that your username, "GreyFoxBluegrass", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Jack Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a change of username, by completing this form, that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 14:43, 26 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
