AfD Nominations edit

There seem to be a string of biographies here that are almost entirely autobiographical (which is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia), lack the notability requirements put forth by the Wikipedia Community in WP:PROF, and read like personal homepages. This is most certainly not a personal attack -- I don't even know you or your colleague(s) -- but Wikipedia is not the place to advertise or write autobiographies. You should focus your efforts on expanding and elaborating on stub articles in your field of expertise, e.g. Firewalking, Ritualization, and Cognitive science of religion. Take a look at the CSR article -- it has more information on the researchers and publication list than it does actual information on the subject (when in reality it should be the other way around). Fixing problems like this will help Wikipedia more than debating these biographies. Tag me on my talk page if you want to discuss further. Chuuumus (talk) 20:40, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
