Hi Grayghost, excellent job on the Confederate States Navy rank insignias! They look so realistic and life like. Any chance you could add the specialist officers such as Medical, Naval Engineers, etc and the enlisted rating badges/rank insignias? A page on the US Navy's rank insignia would also be neat as I recall they had several, very different styles over the course of the war.

Also, I am a bit confused regarding the rank of "Admiral". I had long been under the impression that the Confederate States Navy did not have admirals per-se, and that instead the "Admiral" rank insignia was reserved for the most senior ranking Captain who was called Captain Commanding the Confederate States Navy. I believe a similar situation existed in the US Navy until 1864 when they actually created the rank of Admiral. Am I correct?
