Apostrophes edit

Hi, regarding your question on apostrophes here, they are used to mark possession, but the rule is 'reversed' when dealing with pronouns. So it is "hers" not "her's", and "its" not "it's". See "No apostrophe is used in the following possessive pronouns and adjectives" in Apostrophe. Regards, Ziggurat 01:41, 25 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi Graveenib, I can only echo what Ziggurat says above. It's a really common error in grammar to mistake "it's" and "its". I correct roughly 100 of them a day here on WP. "It's" only means "it is" (or more rarely, "it has"). "It's" never means "belonging to it". See this site, or this site, or other grammar sites online. As I say, though, it's a very common mistake, so don't feel bad. Happy editing! :) --Firsfron of Ronchester 01:51, 25 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Moved from top of page edit

As i said before go to www.eastvillageradio.com and listen to any one of the 8 hours of radio that both chantal claret and little jimmy urine did together and talk endlessly about their engagement. I represent BOTH parties. Thank you and please stop editing the page. Also, if you would like your "personal confirmation", please go ahead and email either jimmy (urine@mindlessselfindulgence.com) or chantal (morningwoodrock@aol.com) on their personal band emails and they will comfirm. Thanks. the preceding was posted by SignOfTheTimes|Talk

This whole Chantal Claret thing. edit

I see that the article is, for the moment, intact. If SignOfTheTimes adds it again without listing a citation on the page, I intend to revert it and I'll throw in my two cents, again, at that time. I'll also explain to him or her how to properly add a citation directly to an article. If the user adds the uncited material again, I'm going to contact an admin about it, because his or her inability to argue a point maturely and listen to reason is making this little more than an edit war. On a side note, I believe that the big all-caps'd note at the top of your page looks like it may qualify as vandalism of your page. If you want to contact an admin about that, that's up to you, but in any case, you've got my support in protecting Little Jimmy Urine, unless SignOfTheTimes adds a legitimate citation.

-This Obsession-

Gravy, sometimes you need to toss out the little boy scout manual and use your brain to sort out the logic in things. Chantal met James last year when Morningwood and MSI toured together. Chantal and James both had "tour crush" written on their fingers for the balance of their respective tours. Following that, James had the word "engaged" on his fingers and wore a belt with the word "CHANTAL" in 2 inch high letters. Friends who thought things were a bit more than mere friendship started asking and Chantal and James admitted that they had gotten more serious and were, in fact, engaged. This was posted in several places, including the Morningwood official forum and on the MSI official forum and references have been given. Since I am a moderator there, I can see each poster's IP address and I know that Chantal was posting the engagement discussion. Moreover, IF the postings about the engagement were NOT true, Chantal, Pedro, Eddie (their manager) and others close to the group could have and would have deleted the engagement notes and issued corrections and denials. Isn't is odd that *nobody* from Morningwood or MSI, including James, has made any effort to deny or quash the story?

For four weeks James appeared with Chantal on her East Village Radio program and 8 hours of that program are available to peruse for mentions of the engagement. It isn't "blogy" evidence, it is evidence, period. James even appears on Chantal's TOYC music video, available on youtube and elsewhere. This weekend Chantal went so far as to make official posts affirming the engagement on both her own MySpace page and on the official Morningwood forum. There has been NO denials of the facts she states in those postings. The URLs have been previously posted.

You are hiding your head in the sand to ignore ALL the above proof of the engagement. You have even refused as to e-mail Chantal or James at the eddresses they themselves have given you to verify the story claiming, that they need to prove the fact, not you. That is solipsism. The ultimate TRUTH of the engagement statement is the *only* thing that matters in the end, not the nature of that proof. You are denying the truth and hiding behind your cub scout rules to justify it.

Just how many engagements or marriages mentioned on wikipedia have you vandalized because they didn't offer 'proof' to your satisfaction? None. Why aren't you denying Chantal or James' existence altogether? After all, I don't see any birth certificates posted?

Please take an affirmative step to verify the facts and knock off the edit war over this and quit hiding behind your petty insistance at having Chantal and James produce any kind of specific proof to satisfy *you*. It is petty and childish. You are not 'protecting' James, you are infuriating him. DrDelos 13:58, 4 June 2007 (UTC)DrDelosReply

  • Here's what I'll do for you. Tonight I will listen to all 10 hours of audio (which I do believe to be legit) and when I find it, I will write a citation for it FOR YOU since you are obviously too lazy to do so yourself. I will bow to the whim of the vandal and do the research and citing for him/her. Again, it's not that I don't believe it, it just needs to be CITED. Cite cite cite. If we didn't have to worry about citing sources, the Chuck Norris page would be filled with "Chuck Norris Facts." I'm a huge fan of MSI and that's why I want to IMPROVE this page. I was against deletion in the first place, and it was nominated due to UNCITED information. If James really cares that this information stay, then he'll concede to having the information CITED so that his wikipedia page is not nom'd for deletion again. Gravee 17:53, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
