August 2020

Hello, I'm BSMIsEditing. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Black feminism have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. BSMIsEditing (talk) 16:11, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

Hi BSMIsEditing, what about those edits was unconstructive? Thanks! GrammarDamner how are things? 16:13, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
I just added a {{uw-vandalism1}} because I thought it was unnecessarily capitalised.--BSMIsEditing (talk) 16:16, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
Well, with all due respect, I believe it actually is supposed to be capitalized. I believe you might have been wrong to revert my edits. This has become an important human rights issue, especially for people of color. I'd kindly ask that you please self-revert. Thanks! GrammarDamner how are things? 16:18, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. VR talk 17:55, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

I've withdrawn my post. As I had originally indicated here, I did not want a block for either you or 0eaceful. Hopefully we can work in an atmosphere of cooperation.VR talk 02:39, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
Thank you, I hope so too. GrammarDamner how are things? 16:48, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
@Vice regent: not that it matters too much now, but shouldn't you have left a notice on 0eaceful's talk page since you reported them at AN3? I'm just asking since I'm not too familiar with AN3, definitely haven't been on Wikipedia as long as you! Thanks! GrammarDamner how are things? 15:28, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
I did leave this notice and I think I pinged them at AN3. But you're right, I should've done that. I'll take better care of this next time.VR talk 15:30, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
Ok thanks, yeah I just wanted to see if I'm understanding things. To be honest, I'm still struggling with EdJohnston's interpretation of EW. He said, "a revert is anything that undoes other editors' actions", therefore I technically edit war almost every day. If I remove an incorrect comma from an article, I've undone another editor's actions, and I usually do that 4 times or more to the same article. Obviously context matters, and I'm not sure how closely EdJohnston actually looked at the details of the situation. Oh well, maybe I'll reach out to EdJohnston to ask for clarification for future reference. But in any case, thanks again for your help! GrammarDamner how are things? 15:37, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
