Hi,
I have created this page for two reasons:
1. This person, Dr Satish Kumar has asked me to correct some information regarding the award he has received. During that process I realized that the before I update the information the page should exist also.
2. Also since Dr Satish kumar has asked me to create a page for him and use the reference from a official website which can be seen in my reference.
So kindly confirm how can I do that if the you are not allowing the creation of the page itself ? Govne (talk) 10:45, 14 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Also here is the page which contains list and the name Saitsh kumar but it is mapped to the wrong person named Satish Kumar. The actual person who received the award is this person https://www.padmaawards.gov.in/Document/pdf/CitationsForTickets/2016/201661.pdf
and it can be verified from the government website : https://www.padmaawards.gov.in/padmaawards/padmaawardees Govne (talk) 10:51, 14 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Please share the steps by which this linking can be done correctly to right person. Govne (talk) 08:53, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

February 2024

edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Satish Kumar. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Page move vandalism

edit

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. Liz Read!
