Look, the quote you're mentioning equates terminologically "Proto-Baltic" with "Proto-Balto-Slavic".
However, the way you worded it implies that Slavs are some kind of "lost of Slavic tribes", which is ridiculous as neither Slavs nor Balts existed in the first millennium BCE.
