I want to talk to you. I want to know how you came up with your user name. It's cool! Drmargi (talk) 03:26, 5 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for taking the bait on my feigned despondency : ) My username is a reference to Eddie Izzard's Dress to Kill:
"And then the Romans came along with their gods that they had borrowed from the Greeks. They invaded Greece, conquered them and stole all their gods... and renamed them with Roman names, ‘cause the Roman gods before that were kind of crap, you know - Jeff, the god of biscuits, and Simon, the god of hairdos…"
Oh, and it might be instructive to note that my first name is Jeff : ) If you haven't seen it, it's got to be the best stand up routine of the last 20 years. |Godofbiscuits| 11:36, 5 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hey, Jeff! I usually use the nickname Doc for a variety of reasons. Silly me, I utterly adore Eddie Izzard, and Dress to Kill is my favorite, but I don't know it well enough to remember the line. Knowing that's where your name came from will add to the smile factor. Good to know you!

Thank you for the barnstar - my first one! I was having a tough, tough day yesterday, and it really made me smile when I needed to. We'll keep defending Robert and DI's right to fair, balanced treatment through this rough period. I didn't expect to be so interested in participating on these pages, but the welcome and respect I received from you and a couple others encouraged me to dive in. It's great to meet users like you. The Irvine Sitch

Jeff, I've put a little suggestion we take a time-out on the Robert Irvine talk page. I'm concerned we're talking across each other and things are being taken a little personally (and getting a bit personal as well), so I've suggested we all step back and take a deep breath. See what you think - I always value your opinion. --Drmargi (talk) 17:39, 14 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
