AfD Nomination: House of Wolves

edit

An editor has nominated the article House of Wolves for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The End.. Add four tildes like this ~~~~ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article House of Wolves during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. Smashing Pumpkins Wikiproject

edit

For the Smashing Pumpkins Wikiproject's logo for use on Template:WikiProject Smashing Pumpkins and other stuff, do you want an actual picture of the band or would something else work? I only ask because I had the idea for a pumpkin and a hammer as a logo, though it's a standard for a band picture to be the logo, and you seem to be the Wikiproject's leader. --Brandt Luke Zorn 07:08, 11 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

The image will still be free-license, but it won't be a photo of the band and it'll be more logo-esque. Here, I'll upload it and show you. --Brandt Luke Zorn 07:18, 11 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Voila. The two images I combined were public domain, so this counts as free-license. --Brandt Luke Zorn 07:23, 11 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Rock music invitation

edit

Hello WikiProject Alternative music member.
WikiProject Alternative music, in my eyes, has proved to be successful "improving the encyclopaedic coverage of articles relating to alternative rock", and improving their quality as well. One specific example I have witnessed is The Smashing Pumpkins article. The page has gone from a mediocre work, to GA status, to FA nomination. Only appropriate, as the Pumpkins are undeniably one of the most influential alternative rock bands on the 1990's and beyond.
This is the stuff I wish to achieve with the somewhat recently ressurected WikiProject Rock music. I hope to also attract attention to rock music articles of all sorts, and hopefully change some to GA or FA status. I invite you to come join us, and not only be a member of alternative Wikipedians, but the rockin' ones as well.
Rock on.

Cubicles (song)

edit

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Cubicles (song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. WikiProject Alternative music and sources

As part of the Alternative music WikiProject, we're gathering a list of sources on this page. Could you take a look and perhaps add any written references you have access to? Thanks! CloudNine 10:05, 8 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Redesign

edit

I'm informing all of the members of The Smashing Pumpkins WikiProject that I recently redesigned and streamlined the WikiProject page (see here) based on Wikipedia:WikiProject Slayer and partially inspired by Wikipedia:WikiProject Alternative music. If anyone sees anything that needs tweaking, or if you think that the whole thing should be scrapped, say so here (btw, there's also an almost exact replica of what I'm telling you here at that location). Thanks, --Brandt Luke Zorn 20:58, 15 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your vandal revert to Rectum

edit

Hey Godlord2,
Your revert to the article also blanked a chunk of article text. See this diff for details [1] - old 71.169.25.229 had been busy for while before you arrived. You're doing a great job but it's worth checking the history and doing a compare if it looks a bit muddled. Peace man and keep up the vandal bopping. :)

Galapogos

edit

I changed the redirect to Galápagos Islands. This seem to be what more people would look for. If you think it should link to Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, I think we can work to make a disambig page. Sodaplayer talk contrib ^_^ 01:23, 25 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
