Image Tagging

edit

Hi there Gnj! I've noticed that you've started to help with the image tagging project. That's great that you've started to help; we really can use it. I just wanted to point out to you that we have a specific deletion policy for images. If an image (such as Image:Its me me me.jpg) is not used in an article or page in Wikipedia (we call it "orphaned:), then you can list it at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. All you do is add the image link to the current date header, the reasons, and your signature using the special four tildes (~~~~). Administrators such as myself aren't allowed to delete images just because they are unsuitable or pointless. I've gone ahead and done added Image:Its me me me.jpg and Image:Nude Laws at Black's Beach not enforced.JPG that you tagged with a {{db}} tag. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a talk page message. Thanks a lot! Cheers, Bratschetalk | Esperanza 15:24, 8 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Looks good! Just remember to sign user talk page messages with the four tildes :). Cheers, Bratschetalk | Esperanza 16:17, 8 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re:Question

edit

I'm actually not sure. Let me ask around, and get back to you on that. There might be a reason, such as they are simply outdated versions, and haven't been deleted. Some of the newer images probably just haven't been inserted into an article, though those that have been around since 2002 most likely aren't needed. Howdy, I'm just letting you know that stubsensor is back with the most current dump file. The cleanup project is at Wikipedia:Computer help desk/cleanup/stubsensor/20060810. Thanks for your help from the last time! Triddle 00:49, 14 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Stubsensor

edit

Hiya there. I noticed that last week you claimed a section of the ongoing Stub Sensor project. I assumed you've been busy with other things, so I did the section for you. Hope you don't mind. Cheers. :-) Iotha 04:03, 13 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

rm unexplained tag as per talk page...

edit

You place an {expand} tag about six months ago. I waited for you to put an explanation of your tag on the associated talk page. Well, it has been a long time, so I deleted your tag.

I put a link to my explanation in the edit summary. It is not meant to be patronizing. (Another guy complained it was patronizing.) I am just sick of repeating myself. If you too think it is patronizing, perhaps you could say why.

Cheers! -- Geo Swan 08:16, 15 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
