User:121.220.222.63 ‎ edit

Hi Gnangarra, regarding User:121.220.222.63 I removed a warning after they came to my talk page for guidance, I'm wondering if you would consider a warning for disruptive editing rather than a final warning. Best wishes Flat Out Let's discuss it 08:39, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • either or but it still going to be a last warning...I'm seeing issues about changes images on Brisbane, Adelaide City centre, Archecture in Melbourne, Swan River(Western Australia) so far the user has made three reverts to the Swan River. If it continues then any user can request a block for a notice board, that admin can make their own decision Gnangarra 09:05, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
OK no problem, I know the issue as I was reverting changes left right and centre for a few days there. I gave them all they needed to edit by consensus so they have no excuse really. Cheers Flat Out Let's discuss it 09:14, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for May 19 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Film and Television Institute, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Public Works Department (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Infobox Australian road code updates edit

This just to let you know, since you're listed as a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Australian Roads but haven't commented at the discussion, that there is a proposal to upgrade the code for {{Infobox Australian road}} currently underway. The proposal includes a number of completely optional functionality enhancements and some very minor layout changes but otherwise, the code is 100% backward compatible with the existing version of the template. The code has been built from code recently and successfully incorporated into {{Infobox Australian place}}. If you'd like to join the discussion, even if it's just to ask a question, please click here. Thanks for your time. --AussieLegend () 02:13, 21 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Fremantle Images edit

Gnangarra do you happen to have any images of Metropolis Fremantle (52-62 South Terrace), Princess Theatre (29-39 Market Street) or the McDonald Smith Building (22-32 Cliff Street). Realise that you're probably flat out with Freopedia at the moment - sorry won't be able to make the launch as I'll be at the Dockers game on Sunday. Good luck. Kwinana edit

I'm confused. [1] says it blew ashore in 1922. [2] implies 1952. Two ships of the same name ashore at the same place 30 years apart? Or is the West article a retrospective? Moondyne (talk) 15:36, 27 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

The West article I read as a retrospective theres more links ot the fire on the talk page, Gnangarra 23:27, 27 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

RfA edit

Hi Gnangarra! Thanks for your support at the RfA - you were one of the people I most hoped would be ok with me running, so I really appreciate it. Don;t worry too much about Liangshan Yi, though - I don't have a problem with him expressing an opinion, because I figure anyone considering it would follow the links and decide that way. I'm looking forward to getting through the RFC on the trademarks dispute page, though - it will be nice to have that issue settled one way or the other. - Bilby (talk) 06:23, 29 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Notice of discussion edit

There is a proposal at Template talk:Attached KML#Possibly fork-ish...thing...going on to remove data from {{Infobox Australian road}} and store it as subpages of {{Attached KML}} that you may be interested in. Related discussions are at Template talk:Infobox Australian road#The KML feature and Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Ownership issues at Template:Attached KML. --AussieLegend () 11:39, 11 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

The Vines(Band) edit

Regarding your disambiguation attempt, the title should be The Vines (band) although that redirect already exists; I have requested a db-move to make way for fixing up the title on The Vines(Band). Dl2000 (talk) 03:17, 25 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your remark at Arbcom edit

You said "I also saw a lot of people who just wanted a process for discussion where they could be heard before the move occurred therefore opposed solely for procedural grounds." I think had that happened, it would open a way to game the system where an administrator could force their will on the community. Reversing an action to force it to go through proper procedure is a check on power that keeps administrator's humble.--v/r - TP 21:55, 2 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

I agree that reversing the action to force a discussion was proper, it was once that discussion started opposing the change because there wasnt prior discussion does nothing to further that discussion towards a resolution. Gnangarra 22:44, 2 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
But the reversal of the action itself was reversed. Thus, we were still in a state where an action was forced into place and folks (like me) were not willing to discuss on those terms.--v/r - TP 23:05, 2 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
Your not happy with the process so you wont participate, I can relate with that but the eggs have been broken you cant unbreak them. Gnangarra 23:54, 2 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Evidence phase open - Manning naming dispute edit

Dear Gnangarra.

This is just a quick courtesy notice. You recently offered a statement in a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Manning naming dispute. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Manning naming dispute/Evidence. Please add your evidence by September 19, 2013, which is when the evidence phase closes. You can also contribute to the case workshop subpage, Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Manning naming dispute/Workshop. For a guide to the arbitration process, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Guide to arbitration. For the Arbitration Committee, Seddon talk 23:36, 8 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Move review for ANZAC Mounted Division edit

An editor has asked for a Move review of ANZAC Mounted Division. Because you closed the move discussion for this page, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the move review.

At the time you closed the first move request last year, I wasn't aware of this review process. In light of the outcome of the second review, I have requested that both move requests be reviewed. --Rskp (talk) 01:43, 5 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
At the time of closing move review didnt exist, it closed according to consensus is ANZAC. The second requested move never established consensus to change Gnangarra 06:19, 6 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'm really sorry if you thought I was implying denial of due process by my ignorance. That was not my intention. However, there appears to be some confusion regarding the consensus of the first request which was to move it. The War diaries refer to names of units and places in block capitals. --Rskp (talk) 06:41, 6 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
