Hazelsletterings (again)

Hi Glen,

I might be too much of a softy, but I honestly think we can turn Hazel into a good contributor. I'm willing to put time and effort into mentoring her and getting her to understand what's OK and what isn't. Go on. Give her some ROPE. I'll watch her edits, and if I'm wrong, I'll be the first to flag it and eat humble pie. --Slashme (talk) 14:38, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

Slashme, I've only got a couple minutes at the moment so will respond in full on their talk page so they can also discuss as well. Just give me some time to review again. Cheers. Glen (talk) 15:32, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

assuming good faith

I am going to assume good faith in your comment to my question to Deb in her user talk page. Perhaps you would like to help me rather than ridicule me. I do not see how Deb's comments on my user talk page answered my question. I can't see how to get to the deleted article to resurrect and improve it. I am not an active contribute to wikipedia and I have to say my experience with this small foray is not encouraging me. Davidbonbright (talk)davidbonbright —Preceding undated comment added 13:58, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

Davidbonbright your question was answered insomuch as the article was deleted as it clearly failed the notability requirements. There's several linked options on the numerous posts on your page which if you've read you'll see include taking it to deletion review. However I do find it interesting that you take issue with your question not being answered when I posted a clear and direct question to your talk page which still remains unanswered. What is your relationship to Core and SOI? Glen (talk) 14:28, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

Introduction:

Naila Al Moosawi is a UAE national business executive who is a pioneer and inspiration to all women globally. Naila Al Moosawi made world history in 1997 by becoming the first woman ever to work as an air traffic controller (ATC) in the Middle East at Dubai International Airport. This career-high driven Emirati symbolizes a new era of feminine women who are strong confident and set out to make the world benefit from their abilities and skills. Her natural impulse to make UAE the world's central platform for trade and commerce has made her pursue even further. Her family and co-workers have always described her as a woman with a transcendent passion for determination, facing challenges head-on with courage. She later succeeded again to become the first woman to be employed on a leading role as a site manager at Emirates Petroleum Oil Corporation (ENOC).

Early Life:

Naila Al Moosawi had many challenges growing up but never took no for an answer. It was never in her blood to quit and always had competitive adrenaline racing through her veins. She always loved sharing and giving and wanted to make a big difference in life. As her mother would often say, “She would always take stuff from home and see how she could either sell it to help someone or simply make their lives better.” At the age of 12, she thought of becoming a lawyer but change her ambitions due to inability conditions and pursued her education on another branch but that never stopped her from rising up and becoming a popular Emirati who’s goals are now set on an NPO( Non-Profit Organization) to help counsel and guide people through grief, stress and difficulty. With the blessings of her parents, she is also happily married with a very supporting husband, a beautiful daughter and four charming sons and always credits her success to her family’s encouragement and love.

Family: The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree and Shaheen Abbas (her daughter) is no exception. The first to be born amongst the five, Shaheen, has set an example for all daughters across the world to follow. She is the glue that binds the family. Being the only daughter, she receives all the love and adoration from her brothers, father, and mother. Shaheen is now on a UAE scholarship as a fourth-year medical student (M.B.C.H.B) at the university in Aberdeen, Scotland, and credits her medical interest to her volunteering in UAE hospitals at the young age of 12years. Following in her mother's footsteps, she was also the first girl football captain to lead her alma mater to victory, even when no one expected them to win. She cannot wait to finish her final year and give back to her country (UAE), all that she has learned. Known for charity and her humble approach to humanity and well-being, she is currently the board of secretary for an NGO to support women and children in Bangladesh, called 'Maa', that deals with wellness care for maternal women. Truly a personality to keep an eye over the coming years when it comes to achievements.

Education:

Naila Al Moosawi is leading champ in the D & I ambitious plans in GCC. Holding a successful MSC in Psychology from the proud and global Middlesex University in the heart of the United Kingdom. If that is not enough, she also owns a CIPD Associate and to top it off with a cherry on the cake she is also a Graduate from Hawkamah with a Directorship Program from the Institute of Directors.

Next on the checklist:

• She plans on pursuing her PHD and successfully graduate • She also is very determined to open an orphanage boutique (Adopt under privileged kids as one’s own) this would revolve around a dedicated and committed oath to personally look after the kids as your own without being put in an adoption center. She believes personal attention can help her mold children to become good, successful and humble citizens • Collaborate with stakeholders to encourage strong family communities by introducing process and legislations to protect homes and make marriages more sustainable

Achievements:

• In 1997 Naila Al Moosawi became the first woman in the UAE to become an air traffic controller (ATCO- Aerodrome) at Dubai International Airport • In 2001 she did it again becoming the first woman to be employed on a management level as a site manager for EPPCO. This officially made her the first female employee at Emirates Petroleum Oil Corporation (ENOC) • In 2007 she started working to pursue her HR career at Lafarge Holcim and soon became a Human Resources Director at GCC level. Being responsible for organization and human capital development, offering over 15 years of progressive experience • In 2013 she was officially awarded the role of a certified board member due to her strong dedication, skill, and hard work contributing to the success of the company. • From 2014- 2020 she was shortlisted twice for the Damac board. Dubai Entertainment board, Takaful, Drake and Scull, NHS Foundation, and the Universities of Glasgow foundation • In 2019 she also became a significant board member of ARCET Global, UAE GDA, and Ignite school. She is also officially playing an important role in the Dubai Expo 2021 • She is now also running an NPO offering free services for all the people in UAE dealing with mental and wellness of health. Providing psychiatric counseling and how to deal with grief and loss due to Covid-19 deaths in the families under an NPO by the name of ‘Amal’.

Current Pursuit:

Her latest vision and mission are something that has been taunting her mind for a long time. She is now set off to lend a helping hand to everyone in the UAE who are going through a stressful and rough time. Starting a very innovative NPO called 'Amal' which translates to 'Hope' in Arabic. The key aspects of this NPO concern the mental health & wellbeing for anyone who seeks help within the UAE especially during this tragic global pandemic that started in 2019. Promoting positive counseling via social media and through the physical NPO organization offering guidance to recovered victims or families who have lost their near and dear ones with Covid-19. Her vision is to offer free counseling for heartbroken patients that include adults, couples, kids, and families for all people residing in the UAE. Having her NPO located in the heart of Dubai, ‘Amal’ brings collectively an international crew of counselors and digital marketing specialists to deal with citizens suffering from the loss of life, anxiety, depression, wellness.

Summary:

Naila Al Moosawi is an example setter to all woman globally who seek an inspirational woman that gets anything accomplished with a strong mindset. Her push to be the first and still not lose her humanitarian impulse and humbleness by constantly looking back and encouraging others to follow in her footsteps. She now leads a team of devoted social volunteers whose prime objective is to help people deal with anxiety, depression and overall mental and physical health and wellness especially with the current Covid-19 epidemic that has increased the depression rate of families who are going through tragic trauma dealing with the loss of their loved ones. She even offers free marriage counselling and has an extended vision to reduce the number of divorce rates in the UAE with proper guidance and communication between husband and wife. Her initiative has helped many families rise above the ashes with pillars of steel in their hearts with positive counseling and guidance to get UAE back on track.

Jude Costa, I've left several messages on your talk page about this. All content on Wikipedia must be written in a neutral point of view. Statements like Naila Al Moosawi is a UAE national business executive who is a pioneer and inspiration to all women globally...This career-high driven Emirati symbolizes a new era of feminine women who are strong confident and set out to make the world benefit from their abilities and skills. Her natural impulse to make UAE the world's central platform for trade and commerce has made her pursue even further. Her family and co-workers have always described her as a woman with a transcendent passion for determination, facing challenges head-on with courage. are written in a promotional tone. Additionally you have stated you are writing about your client so you have a conflict of interest and you also must declare yourself as a paid editor. Please read all the information I have linked to on your page and in this reply. Glen (talk) 11:19, 30 August 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for intervening about the situation with the Australian Unemployed Workers' Union article

I hope it can be sorted out expeditiously and proper balance and neutrality maintained on the article as it should be. Can't help feeling very frustrated especially with the actions of the IP in question who has also sought to effectively challenge my integrity as a Wikipedia user, over and over making false assertions about my user status, wrongly trying to lodge falsely-premised complaints about me to ANI even, because I disagree with him while continuing to attempt disruptive edits to the article.

Again, thank you JayBee00 (talk) 18:15, 1 September 2020 (UTC)

JayBee00, I get it but looking at the page history I can see it will end badly if it continues. I'm on my mobile now so can't dive fully into the detail but will take a look on PC when I can. For clarity I'm not making any assertions other than edit warring will only result in restrictions and potentially against all parties. So just be aware. I can see edits are in good faith but a content dispute always is. So just a heads up. Thanks. Glen (talk) 18:24, 1 September 2020 (UTC)

Creation of Marina Bondarko model page

Hello, I've found an article which is not on Wikipedia, it is Marina Bondarko model related article.

There are many references of Marina Bondarko on Google.

I've found one reliable source of reference, it's wedding 21 Korean magazine , march publication, do check it out.

Actually I'm new I can't write articles directly, so I told you. I think you can create this article within 5 minutes Satyapreneur (talk) 19:43, 5 September 2020 (UTC)

Mind semi protecting the page? Still being used by the same user. --67.85.37.186 (talk) 15:28, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up. Technically they can blank their own user page so unless they started disruption outside that (as they did previously) then it should be okay. I'll keep an eye out. Thanks again. Glen (talk) 16:12, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
yeah, but I don't think what there saying is appropriate. I'm not asking for a block, just a semi-protection. --67.85.37.186 (talk) 17:11, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
We very rarely protect talk pages unless by their own request. I don't see their edits as worthy of escalation at this stage. As I say I am monitoring so if they cause disruption outside their talk I'll take action. Thanks again. Glen (talk) 17:51, 8 September 2020 (UTC)

Pineswefts

Just to give you a little background on what User:Pineswefts has been doing, it's a new kind of spam/vandalism. The links are usually either redirects to affiliate links or phishing sites. The first spammer of this sort that I came across has been documented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Rajumitwa878. Article histories such as Fiverr, LiveJasmin, and Bluehost as well as basically all of my contribs to Meta m:Special:Contributions/Apparition11 also show the persistence of these spammers. Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 11:01, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

Apparition11, Thanks I assumed as much. Looks like they did minor edits to get autoconfirmed and then went straight onto Kaspersky page. Actually wanted to see their reply before blocking but it's pretty clear what's going on. Thanks again. Glen (talk) 11:06, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

Vandals

Hi Glen, I saw you left a warning to J.tiboly.2019 - As an FYI I generally don't bother warning vandals especially when they're edits only consist of vandalism, I appreciate you were only trying to help however you can generally differentiate between the clueless and the vandals and in this case I knew it was a vandal and knew warning was going to be a waste of time,
Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 14:03, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

Davey2010, hmm well thanks for the advice but I disagree. Certainly if it was offensive or a breach of blp then sure, but this was childish vandalism of basic blanking and a John Cena edit and at least one warning is appropriate before blocking. Different admins have different approaches but I don't block before a warning unless the vandalism is abhorrent. Moot now as they were blocked shortly after my warning anyway. Glen (talk) 14:51, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

That blocked IP editor did have a point, lol.

I've nominated that page at AfD, the anon was absolutely right -- the article was written almost entirely by its subject (whose only edits are to that article). When his account was blocked (ironically) for being the same as the name of a well-known person, he seems to have kept editing it from an IP. Basically all of the sources are to his own publications... not that this justifies an unblock for the IP but it's at least some food for thought. {   } 09:21, 20 September 2020 (UTC)

Jacob Gotts, Yeah I did warn them again before the block and they proceeded to keep blanking anyway. I've left a note saying how to proceed with AFD. Hopefully they take note for next time. Glen (talk) 09:30, 20 September 2020 (UTC)

A hoax?

Hello Glen, I came across this draft Draft:Death of Celine Dion, I think this maybe a hoax since the singer Celine Dion is still alive. Should I tag it for CSD as a hoax?I just declined it for now until sources are brought forward. Best regards Megan☺️ Talk to the monster 13:43, 20 September 2020 (UTC)

Sockfarm

Since you reverted that troll's post in my talk page, I'd like you to look at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Nikhil Srivastava. This is a sockfarm and needs to be taken care of. There are IPs also that need range blocks. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:16, 19 September 2020 (UTC)

Fylindfotberserk, I did see the SPI, in fact I was actually reviewing their edits when I saw the personal attacks on your talk page. It does look pretty ducky to me (at least with this account I can't speak for others) but I don't have Checkuser privileges so can't confirm for sure. The 31 hours should buy enough time for the CUs to confirm. If you have any other run ins or personal attacks by other potential socks let me know. Glen (talk) 13:25, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
Fylindfotberserk, the IPs do look like they've been range blocked but let me know if any have been missed. Thanks again. Glen (talk) 13:35, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
So nice of you sir. I'll contact you. That user looked as if on a recruitment drive to create some sort of a caste-based forum here in Wikipedia. Can you believe that! - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:55, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
Fylindfotberserk, not much surprises me anymore! Glen (talk) 14:00, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
Kinda embarrassing for me since these guys are bolstering that caste-warring image of my country  . It is sad how these individuals will go on deprecating teh country they live in just to spite another user. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:10, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
Fylindfotberserk, trust me I totally understand (until COVID I used to spend at least a week every month in India) so totally get your frustration. Glen (talk) 14:18, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
COVID has infected Wikipedia too. Too many vandals with free time.  . - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:31, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
Sir, can you revdel those edits in my talk page history. Thanks. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:10, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
Fylindfotberserk, no problen it's done. Glen (talk) 02:36, 20 September 2020 (UTC)

Sir revdel this also https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/979042625 Which is full of personal attacks and false allegations against one of our respected and senior editors Nikhil Srivastava Sir. Be fair to all. Vikram Q1W2 (talk) 12:29, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Vikram Q1W2, our respected and senior editors? User:Nikhil Srivastava has been checkuser blocked for creating multiple accounts. I don't think we should really be concerned about what blocked editors think. Glen (talk) 12:53, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

But we should not allow personnel attacks and false accusations. Vikram Q1W2 (talk) 13:11, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Glen, I think this guy needs to get indeffed. That sockfarm of a "senior editor" made a user page full of personal attacks against Sitush [14]. It has been revdelled, but I've seen it. Full of Hindi cuss words. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:55, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Fylindfotberserk, I'm happy to give him one last chance per WP:ROPE but yes I think it'll likely end that way. Interested to see what the SPI request turns up which will hopefully be resolved by then. I'll keep a close eye. Let me know if you encounter any other socks okay? Glen (talk) 15:01, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Funny thing I don't even patrol that Kayastha article, nor made any significant additions/removal to that. ON the contrary I helped clean-up references these sockfarm added (didn't know that time) which Sitush removed later for being not reliable enough. It might be possible it is somebody else taking the guise of Nikhil here. Also the IPs shows both Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra (supposedly Nikhil's location), based on different IP checkers. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:10, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Fylindfotberserk, not my area of expertise but I agree it's suspicious. If I was a betting man I'd bet on either socks or meats. Glen (talk) 15:56, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Agree, 99% sock or meat. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:04, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
