මූලික බණදහම් කඩිහාරේ ගුණානන්ද නායක ස්වාමීන්ද්‍රයන් වෙතින් ඉගෙන, රත්මලේ රතනසේල, කුරුණෑගල මලියදේව, කෝට්ටේ සිරිපැරකුම්බා ආදී පිරිවෙන් වලින් වැඩිදුර අධ්‍යාපනය ලැබීය. විසිවස් සපිරි සද්ධානන්ද සාමණේරයන් වහන්සේ උගත මනා බණ දහම් සපුරා 1959 මැයි මස 25 දින අස්ගිරි මහා විහාරයේ දී උපසම්පදාවට පත්වූහ.

මින් පසු වීරහේනේගෙදර විහාරස්ථානයෙහි නිත්‍ය නේවාසිකව වැඩ වෙසෙමින් ස්වකීය දායකකාරකාදීන්ට මෙන්ම පළාත්වාසී සකලවිධ බොදු ජනතාවටද ආගමික වශයෙන් ඉමහත් සේවාවක් සළසන ලදී. මෙනිසා උන්වහන්සේ බණට පිරිතට නැතුවම බැරි හිමිනමක් වූහ. සංඛ්‍යාත්මකව පිරිත් දේශනා දස දහසකට අධිකව දේශනා කර ඇතැයි ගණනය කර තිබේ. ස්වකීය නිත්‍ය නේවාසික විහාරය ඇතුළු තදනුබද්ධ විහාරස්ථාන සකලාංග සම්පූර්ණ කොට ඇත. එමෙන්ම විශිෂ්ට දහම් පාසල් සේවාවකින්ද, වීරහේනේගෙදර, බැද්දේගම, වාරියපොල, පනාදරගම, ගල්ලැහැර, කිතුල්වැහැර ආදී දහම් පාසල් ආරම්භ කරමින්ද ප්‍රධානාචාර්ය ධුරය දරමින්ද ප්‍රාදේශීය බොදු දරුවනට සළසන ලද්දේ අපමණ සේවාවකි. එමෙන්ම පෙර පාසල් ඇතුළු විවිධ ස්වේච්ඡා සංවිධාන අරඹා විධිමත්ව පවත්වාගෙන යාමද අගය කළ යුතුය.
