Request for comment edit

This message is being sent to you because you have previously edited the Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English) page. There is currently a discussion that may result in a significant change to Wikipedia policy. Specifically, a consensus is being sought on if the policies of WP:UCN and WP:EN continues to be working policies for naming biographical articles, or if such policies have been replaced by a new status quo. This discussion is on-going at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (use English), and your comments would be appreciated. Dolovis (talk) 17:31, 19 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hand (unit) edit

Thank you for taking the trouble to look at Hand (unit) with a view to giving a "third opinion" there. Given that you've already gone that far, would it be too much to ask that you also read the summary of the current pathetic edit dispute there, look at the two conflicting versions of the text and at the relevant sources, and give a balanced and, if you like, reasoned answer to the question "which best reflects the information given in the sources?"? That would be very helpful. If you don't feel like doing it, NP; but I hope you will then not mind if I tag it again in the hope that someone else might be prepared to? In any case, thank you. If you mean the UK spellings, it seems that Peter Isotalo already has offered a third opinion, and I'd concur with him. When it comes to UK vs US spelling, the usage in the sources doesn't matter really, we have a convention to use whatever the article was first written in. Gigs (talk) 13:59, 15 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

WP:STALEDRAFT edit

Hello Gigs.

Do you remember creating WP:STALEDRAFT? https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:STALEDRAFT&oldid=397688534

Do you remember why, or do you have a continuing view on this shortcut. A couple of us think it has proven less than useful. Your thoughts at Wikipedia_talk:User_pages#WP:STALEDRAFT_-_intent_and_interpretation would be appreciated. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 15:17, 2 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Third opinion at Talk:Pale Blue Dot edit

I have summarized the dispute in Talk:Pale Blue Dot as you requested. I have also listed it at Wikipedia:Third opinion#Active disagreements. Though a delayed response from me, can you provide your opinion at the concerned talk page? Thanks. Suraj T 09:16, 21 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
