March 2015 edit

Hello, I'm Gyrofrog. Your recent edit to the page Amba Alagi appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Gyrofrog (talk) 21:54, 3 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • P.S. I think you're going to need wider consensus for this change. You've given no indication that the new spelling is the preferred English-language spelling. The old spelling is used elsewhere on the internet, and throughout Wikipedia (and your edits broke the links to those articles). Thanks, -- Gyrofrog (talk) 21:56, 3 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
If you can lay out a case for a page move, please do so at Talk:Amba Alagi where other editors (not only me) can see it. For what it's worth, the Nordic Africa Institute gives the following variations on the place name: "Amba Alage (Ambalage, Amba Alagi, A. Alaji)...(Mt Aladshie, Fre: Amba Alagui)". You might also want to read about the process itself at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Thanks, -- Gyrofrog (talk) 22:35, 3 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
