Final comments from class editor:

  • Only one edit for grammar was made since I last reviewed this page. Previous comments apply.
  • This sentence seems non-verifiable: "The arches that line High Street are what make the Short North famous."
  • Be careful with neutrality here: "This was put in place because of the devastating loss of the actual Union Station by, what is now, Nationwide."
  • The peer-review excel that was passed around labeled your neighborhood as "Victorian Village and the Short North." Of course, the article currently only discussed the Short North. You may want to check with the instructor about this.

Instructor Comments No. 2

edit

Well-written

edit
  • I challenge that the Short North is a "neighborhood" - what else could it be?
  • Your Lead section is very confusing.
  • Utilize Sub-Sections

Verifiable with no original research

edit
  • This needs a lot more citations. You currently have 3 sources.

Broad in its coverage

edit
  • Appropriately broad

Neutral

edit
  • Any words that sound flowery need to be removed - this is not a term paper. Examples: "Rebirth enter into full gear;" "The Short North was simply a causeway;" "The buildings are very historic as well."

Stable

edit

Illustrated

edit
  • You need to organize the photos and tell us why they are in the article.
  • Make sure they're all the same size and flow on the page: aesthetics matter.

  • Awesome work thus far.
  • Fix this run-on sentence: "The area is also known to be a very gay and lesbian friendly neighborhood and many gay nightclubs and bars are located the area and is the location of the annual Columbus gay pride parade."
  • May want to give a little history about The Cap as a landmark. When was it built? Who developed it?
  • May want to add more of the sections listed on the class site (ie. Transportation, Residential, etc.): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_Program:Ohio_State_University/City_and_Regional_Planning_(Fall_2014)
