I'm new here, tell me what I can do to become a member.

What do you want to do? What do you mean by "member"? Anyone can edit articles, just keep in mind that it is an encyclopedia which consists of articles in a neutral point of view that are verifiable in reliable, published sources (please cite those sources, Wikipedia:Citing sources). See Wikipedia:Introduction for an introduction to editing, and also you can learn a lot by following the example of other articles. —Centrxtalk • 03:58, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
You are already a member! Just start editing See Help:Starting a new page. You might also want to take a look at Wikipedia:Your first article and Wikipedia:How to write a great article. Make sure that your title follows the WP:Naming convention! Just place {{helpme}} or leave a message at my talk page if you need any more help with anything! Real Ghostbusters

edit

Hey, thanks for wanting to help keep the Real Ghostbusters article up to date and accurate... however Egon's last name is spent 'Spengler' with an 'e', not 'Spangler' with an 'a'. Just so you know. Kingpin1055 09:17, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome!

edit

Hello there, welcome to Wikipedia!! If you want, drop us a note at Wikipedia:New user log to introduce yourself (but I think its kind of smelly in there).

You can sign your name on talk pages by using "--~~~ " for your username and "--~~~~ " for your username and a timestamp, as well as just "~~~~~" for the time.

Hello, Ghostbusters in NY, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Drop me a question on my Talk Page at Mac Davis., I should respond within a few hours.

Wikipedia is also big on not infringing copyrights, don't learn it the hard way. Vandalism is not looked highly upon.

Happy editing, X [Mac Davis] (DESK|How's my driving?) 03:59, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on Colten David Swan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Dropal 06:33, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Ghostbusters Logo.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ghostbusters Logo.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Metros232 17:16, 3 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your support

edit

Thank you for your support in the RfA on my behalf. It is an honor to have received your expression of confidence. To be chosen as an administrator requires a high level of confidence by a broad section of the community. Although I received a great deal of support, at this time I do not hold the level of confidence required, and the RfA did not pass. It is my wish that I will continue to deserve your confidence. Sincerely, --BostonMA talk 22:19, 3 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
