November 2015 edit

Hello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Albert Dimes without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I have restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —C.Fred (talk) 21:26, 2 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Re this message you left at my talk page:

Incorrect information posted about our family. We would like the page removed

The article cites The Times, so you'll have to show that the paper got the story wrong or is otherwise being misrepresented. If you start an WP:Articles for deletion discussion, the sourcing will likely be brought up as evidence of why the article complies with the notability and verifiability guidelines and should be kept.

As a rule, articles are not deleted on the request of the subject or those related to him. See WP:Autobiographies for more guidance: even though the section refers to articles about you, it would still apply in this situation. Of course, you'll have to be prepared to demonstrate to the Volunteer Response Team that you are related to Dimes, if you go that route. —C.Fred (talk) 21:40, 2 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
