You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for adding spam links. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia and potentially penalized by search engines.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Alexf(talk) 22:50, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hi Alexf. Please help me understand the rules. My post was removed and I have been blocked because I added a link to an external site; however, I added the link to the external site in a section "External Links" and under an entry with a link to an external site. Why is the one that is there permitted but mine is not? Thank you!! GetMyPlates (talk) 00:56, 9 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

First, Wikipedia is not the place to spam links to your own website. Second, you need to adhere to our paid editing disclosure policy and conflict of interest guideline. Once you affirm that you will comply with them, we can talk about changing your username to something more appropriate. Usernames are not allowed to be the name of a company or website. If unblocked, you will not be allowed to continue adding links to your own website, so you will have to tell us what edits you would make instead. If you are only interested in spamming our website, we will not unblock you. If, on the other hand, you wish to volunteer your time to writing encyclopedia articles, we probably will unblock you. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

That helps clarify. I'm allowed to post links to external sites, but not my own? This may be more a semantics issue, but nothing was spammed. I edited one post in an an external links section and it was in context of the article. I understand it is still a violation of your terms and that you are concerned with a conflict of interest as it the link is to a "commercial" site, but it may help get your point across better to just state that as NinjaRobotPirate did in the reply instead of referring to it as spamming. I'll review my desires and see if it is worth continuing to participate. My initial interest in using this account is to help promote awareness of a business solution, so it may likely be that it isn't worth pursuing. Thank you for providing the additional information! Decline reason:

Procedural decline only; this is not an unblock request. Yamla (talk) 12:48, 9 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
