Danny Woo International District Community Garden edit

I am not an expert in this area by any means. My vague understanding of it: It appears that you copy/pasted from https://digital.lib.washington.edu/researchworks/bitstream/handle/1773/24317/Lee_washington_0250O_11936.pdf.txt?sequence=2. Please read wp:Copyright and wp:Copyright violations. When you click that "Save page" button at the bottom of the page the text just above it essentially states that you are irrevocably agreeing to releasing your edits per this CC-BY-SA 3.0 License and GFDL. To see this, click "Edit" at the top of most pages and look at the text at the bottom, just above the "Save page" button. If the text is found elsewhere on the web, that suggests it has been previously copyrighted. If it is your text and you wish to release it under those licenses, you need to transfer your copyright (essentially making it public domain). You are not allowed to publish it on Wikipedia and maintain your copyright. Basically, you need to use your own words when you edit, not copy from elsewhere. Please read the section on editing in the welcome section I added at the top. The Teahouse is a good place to find help on editing. Hope this helps! Jim1138 (talk) 07:53, 3 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Georgerlee. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Hing Hay Park, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. SounderBruce 22:04, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
