Speedy deletion nomination of SAG Designs Inc edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on SAG Designs Inc requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Evaders99 (talk) 09:34, 18 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

About your revert in the Jairam Ramesh page. edit

Hello. I hope you're aware that jairam is a hebbar iyengar brahmin. All hebbar iyengars, although of tamil brahmin origin, have migrated into karnataka about 600 years back. Their "hebbar tamil" is a mixture of tamil, sanskrit & kannada. Although Iyengar brahmins are still a majority in Tamil Nadu, "HEBBAR Iyengars" are only found in karnataka(although of tamil brahmin origin). So the migration took place eons back. Today they are bilingual, and they consider themselves almost as much kannadiga , as they are tamil. I repeat again, he is a hebbar iyengar. The name hebbar comes from the name of the place where they migrated first(into karnataka). Almost all of them belong to the Vadakalai Iyengar branch(found all across south india). Names like Hebbar & Mandya Iyengars are w.r.t their place of migration. All iyengars including hebbars and mandyam belong to either vadakalai or tenkalai groups(as in TN), hebbar predominantly being vadakalai. Please just leave such edits to those who have high knowledge/experts in that corrsponding subject(origin & migration of brahmin sects etc). Although i could have stopped with the revert comment in the history page, i just wanted to tell you some info', as you've been editing in articles regarding some personalities from Karnataka. Thank You. Happy Editing. Hari7478 (talk) 15:15, 2 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Chetan Kumar edit

The article Chetan Kumar has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. DS edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Edit warring and POV pushing edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on COVID-19 pandemic in India. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

Modifying a neutrally worded sentence back to your POV version against the consensus on talk page, and that without edit summary simply violates WP:DE. --Yoonadue (talk) 02:40, 7 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring at COVID-19 pandemic in India edit

Hello Generalsagar. You've been warned for edit warring at COVID-19 pandemic in India per a complaint at the noticeboard. You may be blocked the next time you revert the article unless you have received a prior consensus in your favor on the article talk page. EdJohnston (talk) 13:43, 9 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Generalsagar, you continued to revert here on 14 May, at COVID-19 pandemic in India, after my above warning to get consensus first. Can you explain why you shouldn't be blocked? EdJohnston (talk) 13:03, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
Per my explanation above. I don't know who is right about Modi, but we rely on consensus to settle things when disputes occur. It seems you aren't willing to be patient. You also imply that those who disagree with you are part of Modi's PR machine, which is a personal attack. EdJohnston (talk) 15:01, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
