Speedy deletion nomination of Tangle Teezer

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

Speedy deletion nomination of Tangle Teezer

edit

Hello General Waste,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Tangle Teezer for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Rollingcontributor (talk) 17:54, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please stop deleting my articles

edit

Bazj (talk) I am legitimately trying to add a page for the Tangle Teezer hairbrush as all other inventions attached to the Dragon's Den article have articles created for them. I have tried to write my articles in a neutral way and I fail to see how they are promotional. If you could please help me to write an article in a way that will not be deleted by you then I will be happy to adhere to these guidelines. General Waste (talk) 22:38, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your assertion about "all other inventions" doesn't hold water. Dragons' Den#United Kingdom lists no inventions. Dragons' Den (UK TV series)#Rejected offers which lists several of the pitches contains very few links. In any case, the argument you put forward is generally known as WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS and doesn't work.
The fact you "fail to see how they are promotional" suggests you may have a conflict of interest. Keep creating adverts and it's likely the title will be blocked from creation. The welcome message and each of the notices about deletion have contained links to guidance - have you read them? Bazj (talk) 23:09, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for being a prick about it Bazj (talk the below section in the Dragon's Den UK page mentions Tangle Teezer along with other products that were successful. Each one has a link to an article which has not been removed. I have read the guidelines and I followed the format of these other articles. If my article was removed then so should these:

Some contestants have gone on to reach the market with their products despite being turned down by the Dragons and have met with a range of success. Examples include hungryhouse.co.uk, a website for online ordering of home delivered takeaway food, Destination London, a board game;[31] the Tangle Teezer, a hairbrush designed to smooth knotted hair;[32] Trunki, travel luggage designed for children;[33][34] and the BarbeSkew, a rotisserie barbecue.[35]

If you think they should be deleted, nominate them for deletion. Bazj (talk) 00:06, 11 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppet investigation

edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/General Waste, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Bazj (talk) 10:23, 28 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

I can confirm that I have two accounts General Waste and ThomasGrahamStewart - I would like to delete General Waste and continue to use ThomasGrahamStewart as I have begun to edit articles of interest to me including that of my home town of Kingsclere. I added Clare Balding, Tom Croft and Lord Lloyd Webber as notable people from the Village. The other account you have attributed to me is nothing to do with me, when I tried to make a page for Tangle Teezer I used information gathered from the website of the brand which anyone can view and use to create a similar page.
