Technically speaking, these are not the kinds of references that are acceptable in Wikipedia, so I took exception to the comment of "vandalism". And no, I'm not actually frustrated but since we keep hearing alleged and unverifiable details, I sought to tease out any actual facts that may exist out there.

And yeah, humor, but I guess you didn't see that.

Humor? edit

The manuscript (though in flux) exists. I have read it multiple times, in various formats. I have a copy on my hard drive right now. Delany reads from it (in fact, read from it this past week) at his appearances. For independent verification, try the Delany-list on Yahoo. Several users there have already read the book. I'm providing as much information as I can, based on what I know and can prove via publicly-known data (Delany's talks and readings, for instance). There is a cover in the works. I've seen a few treatments, but it's not a public document. An initial manuscript was sent to a publisher last month, but Delany has made several major revisions since then. I don't think it's right to name the publisher when the contract has not yet been signed nor a release date announced. If you're frustrated because you're waiting for it and it's not out yet, get in line. It's pretty long. Hell, I've been waiting for The Splendor and Misery of Bodies, of Cities since I finished reading Stars in my Pocket Like Grains of Sand shortly after its publication, but I don't go and post snarky comments on Wikipedia about it.
