September 2019 edit

Hello, I'm Utcursch. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Proto-Dravidian language, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. utcursch | talk 12:07, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm ThaThinThaKiThaTha. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Keeladi excavation site seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ThaThinThaKiThaTha (talk) 13:01, 30 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Keeladi excavation site, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. October 2019 edit

Your recent editing history at Keeladi excavation site shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. regentspark (comment) 01:01, 1 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm JimRenge. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, The unanswered questions, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. JimRenge (talk) 15:20, 3 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at User talk:ThaThinThaKiThaTha, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. JimRenge (talk) 16:17, 3 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistent disruptive editing and harassment, as illustrated by your systematic and unexplained reverts of Joshua Jonathan's edits.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bishonen | talk 16:46, 3 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

User Joshua Jonathan had been undoing my edits in a repetitive manner, the content of which has been officially published by Tamil Nadu Archaeology department and supported by Radio Carbon dating results. The content has been cited by authentic sources such as popular news websites as well. I see this as an act with an inferior motive to distort the facts and present one's own personal stories to the public. I had to undo some of his edits to stop him from making further edits to my page. I kindly request you to review the content he was trying to change in Keeladi Excavation site and Adichanallur Wiki pages, for then it would be clear that he was trying to change authentic content and replace it with own personal preferences

Decline reason:

This unblock request is inappropriate. Please read WP:GAB. Address only your actions, if you wish to be unblocked. Nothing you've said here are grounds to ignore WP:EW. Yamla (talk) 15:01, 4 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
