May 2018 edit

=]] Hello, I'm Donner60. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Islandia, New York, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 03:26, 17 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

I am striking the above message because your comment to me shows you are in good faith. The template message may not be entirely obvious. I think the sentence about the pond should be sourced. As worded, "As of 2017", it would seem that the pond could be considered dried up forever unless someone changes the sentence. I think a citation should be made to show that this was true in 2017, and the reader can then at least try to determine whether it is still dried up. Perhaps just changing the phrase to "In 2017" would be enough. I would not object to that but I cannot speak for anyone else who might think this should have a source to show it is a valid edit.

Sorry, but that would not meet the need for WP:reliable sources. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 04:23, 17 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
